Not necessarily advocating for this (Tatum is my favorite active player), but even the poison pill can be dealt with so long as we can move Kemba:
To BOS: Harden, Rozier, Martin Jr.
To NOP: Walker
To CHA: Ball, Bledsoe, Green
To HOU: Tatum, CHA 2021 1st
https://tradenba.com/trades/mcgup0gjbOutcome:
Harden/Teague/Pritchard/Edwards
Smart/Rozier/Langford
Brown/Nesmith/Martin Jr.
Theis/Ojeyele/G. Williams
TT/R. Williams
Note: Only Teague and Ojeyele would not be under contract in 2021-2022.
Question: Good enough to win it all? Add a ring-chasing vet? The upside is we’re getting Harden without losing any future picks and all but one young player, albeit our best one by far. The downside is it might not result in a championship and Harden might walk in two years, in which case we’ve lost Tatum and have to build everything around Brown (after tonight, I’m starting to believe he might become better than Tatum...major mea culpas may be in line from me to some of you). That said, Jokic will be on the market in 2023 if Harden walks, and perhaps one of our younger players will develop into an all-star.
