Gronk and a 7th rounder for a 4th Rounder so he is clearly going to play for the Bucs or they wouldn't have given up a 4th rounder.

Potentially a great deal for both sides, if Gronk is in good shape.

Either way, it’s a no-lose deal for the Pats.

Brady going to TB was already a sideshow - this just solidifies it. Hopefully in a few years we can all look back and just forget all of this happened. I hate unhappy endings and the fact that multiple icons have basically let it be known they want nothing to do with New England makes me a bit unsettled.

Did Schefter forget the part where the Pats won a Super Bowl?  What a dumb question.

You. Take. The. Title.

They also a got a 4th round pick for a guy who was retired & never going to play another snap for them.

2018 Rob Gronkowski trade:
Lions receive Gronkowski and a second-round pick (No. 43.)
Patriots receive a first-round pick (No. 20) and a second-round pic (No. 51)

2020 Gronkowski trade:
Buccaneers receive Gronkowski and a seventh-round pick.
Patriots receive a fourth-round pick.

Considering how tiny he looks I’m really not sure what he’ll provide, but a win for the Pats anyway.

Anyone else find this kinda cringeworthy? Wish TB had just retired, or stayed. Feels like a LeBron-type circus

Yeah, this is like when people think we should have moved forward with Garoppolo instead of Brady. Getting that extra SB was huge - other teams would kill just to win one. There are 32 teams in the league and only one team wins each year. I'm obviously glad we kept Brady and Gronk for that run, but do wish both would just retire instead of doing this weird Buccaneers thing.

It's a bird in the hand.  Never mind that Gronk was not coming back to catch passes from Stidham, the reality is the NFL may not have a season.

If that happens, Pats get a draft pick and TB/RG get a year older.

I think the NFL would construct 16 new stadiums in Greenland before they cancelled the season.

QB - Tom Brady
WR - Mike Evans
WR - Chris Godwin
TE - O.J. Howard
TE - Rob Gronkowski
RB - Ronald Jones II

A god-caliber offense that I see no defenses stopping.

Here's a thought. The Pats and Thuney (who they franchised) are still apart on a long term deal. Why not ship him for OJ Howard and a pick. Or something along those lines. Thuney I think makes like 14M so it's a bit of cap savings for us, and great protection for Brady.

Lets face it, 2020 is likely a rebuild/bridge year for us anyways, and if the two parties are still far apart in deals, then consider trading him. The O-Line is still fine with Andrews coming and hopefully Wynn staying healthy.

Outside of Jones, Brady might be the weak link, haha.
