I bet GH is mentoring him
Langford in college had to majority of the heavy lifting.  And at times shot too many ill advised shots.

In this environment he can stick to playing like an assassin. Quietly but effectively beating his opponent

just the way he stays low to the ground and almost like tip toes on the court....  Romeo "quite place" Langford  ;D

Interesting (though a little overhyped)  play by play breakdown by FrankieVision on Langford vs Pistons (last month)

At the end I got a kick out of his comparison of Langford and...  lol

Only two rookies in Celtics history have registered 16+ points and 3+ blocks in a game as a reserve -- Kevin McHale (1981) and Romeo Langford (last night).

That's some great company. McHale was a monster.

At his ceiling, what do you guys project him be? I think he’s a 6th man type off the bench. Not sure he’ll be a great shooter but he seems like a bucket getter with his ability to get the the rim.

Ceiling? Starter and 2d/3d option for a deep playoff team. More likely outcome is key rotation piece. Bust probably involves some kind of injury or failure to develop an outside shot.

He’s got plus length, a good frame, a forty-inch vertical, great instinct on change of speed and finish through contact. Seems to buy in to defending and being a two-way player. Early signs are good understanding of team D. That is a lot to work with.

Let's see him 2-3 years from now, when he’s Jaylen’s age...

What’s up with his block rate ? Lucky or he is secretly an assassin on defense?

He’s got really long arms and a forty-inch vertical to go along with pretty good help instincts and timing. Also, playing most of his minutes against bad teams and scrubs.... But even if the rate’s a little inflated he looks really promising.

Romeo should have Gordon Hayward as a mentor..

Gordon has taken him under his wing, them both being from Indiana. Here's what Gordon said before Romeo's start against Orlando.

Quote
It was Hayward, his fellow Indiana native, who pulled Langford aside and gave him some extra confidence to play his game.

“Gordon gave me some words of encouragement, just told me to just go out there and just play,” Langford said. “He knows I’m a good player, just make plays and don’t be passive. Just be aggressive with everything you do.”

Said Hayward, “I think he’s going to be a really good player in this league. I think that he came out and was a little passive. I told him that there in the second half. And then he made some good drives, finished strong. I think for him to be as young as he is, I think he’s ahead of the curve, there’s no doubt about that.”

Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Seems to have a quick leap on him too, he explodes upwards quite quickly. This, combined with his vertical, gives him the potential to be a good shot blocker.
