"Allen is privately resigned to the fact that it’s unlikely the Celtics will want to re-sign him this summer. He’s believed to be intrigued with the possibility of joining the Miami Heat or staying close to his Connecticut home and signing with the New York Knicks. Nevertheless, Allen wants to stay a Celtic and that’s never wavered. Yet the sheer economics make it improbable unless he’s willing to cost himself several million dollars next year." ----from Woj article

Doesn't sound like Ray will take anything anyway near  MLE-type $$ next year and has been contemplating his future somewhere else. Let's see if we can accommodate him with a trade to the Knicks or Miami and be contenders this year and extend the window a few more. Any body have any suggestions? Mine are below.
Both work in trade checker:5426392 and 5426386

Celtics send:RA,Scals,House,Giddens
Knicks send:Jeffries, Harrington,Duhon,Chandler

Why for Boston: (AH)Scorer to take PPs place this year,(JJ)defensive specialist for stretch run,Backup pg (CD) and the future PP (WC). We can compete now and later.

Why for Knicks:RA and EH for D'Antonis run and gun, additional CAP SPACE which they so desperately want.

Miami trade:

Boston sends RA,Scals,House, Shelden
Miami sends: Beasley,QRich,Haslem,Chalmers

Why for Boston:Present(QRich/Haslem) and future (Beasley/Chalmers)
Why for Miami: Additional huge expiring to go with the one they already have to get DWade a max contract running mate which makes it more likely he stays and a veteran in RA whom they can sign for next year because he wants to be there.
