Is there any way the C's can get him, maybe in a sign and trade with Smart going out?

I'm not close to being a cap guy and I don't pretend to be one, that's why I ask.

Sorry if there is, but I didn't see another thread for this.

Love FVV and think he's a winning basketball player.

1. Can you do a sign-and-trade for a player that just opted-out?
2. What is he worth? What's his value?
3. I think there is too much cap space out there this year. I think he can get a huge contract, but he's probably not worth what he will get.

Acquiring a player in a sign-and-trade would hard cap us at the tax apron, so I doubt Brad would even consider it
I'm bitter.

All set with mini guards. Brad wants players that can switch, so I don’t think the C’s will have interest.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

It’s already been mentioned how difficult it would be for the Celtics to obtain him (given the fact you’d need to sign and trade, hard capping you).

At least on the margin, it should benefit the Celtics by adding one more big money free agent out there and soaking up some more salary cap space that’d otherwise go to Grant.

FVV is alright in switches due to his strength defensively. Sort of similar to Lowry in how he can anchor himself and generate strips with fast hands.

His scoring efficiency is what makes me have no interest

Derek Fisher-like in his ability to cover bigger players.

FVV built like a tank for a little dude.
