Also to be honest with Kyrie and Horford now gone, I don't really think the main max superstar players would consider us (KD, Kemba, etc.) That's why we hear a lot more about guys like D'Lo (who I'd love to get) or giving decent deals to the likes of Vuc, Randle, etc.

That could be a heck of a team - and if you're offering Brown I think you could even aim for a better center than Capela. But I'm sure Danny has thought of this and will be pursuing it off the radar unless he's received a clear signal from Kawhi's camp that they aren't interested.  Most of the deals he actually completes seem to be held close until the very last second.

If he leaves Toronto, it's not so he can come to Boston - particularly after we lose Kyrie and Al.  He's going to a team in a location he wants to be.  Most likely the Clippers.

I would not be surprised if Danny quietly inquired, but if the reporting is to be believed Kawhi has always been set on LA, he may be considering Toronto because they just won it all. I don’t think any other place has even an outside chance.

While it is more likely than not we are taking a step back, I think you are going a bit overboard acting like this is all 100% decided. There have been rumors of us having involvement with capela and adams. I am not sure Horford is going to be a better a player than adams next season (i think adams does not get to do everything he can with westbrook). If we get Russel who we also seem to be tailing, we are well a competitive team. The thing is, we really have too much talent to tank and be that bad. Tatum and Brown are in their third and fourth season. If they are not good enough to have us be competitive they are not very good players.

Ainge just wasn't interested in rentals (PG, Kawhi, AD), Kyrie had 2 years and he was brought here.
