The last 3 seasons of Southpark, including the current one, have been absolutely awesome. The few before that were quite good as well. Actually since Trey and Matt went to the Thursday to Wednesday format for everything (the recent documentary "6 Days to Air" is superb), it has been the best show on television. I mean Wednesday's episode alone had countless references to Tebow's victory over the Dolphins on Sunday. That is why that show is so great, it is totally 100% relevant and not months behind.
Couldn't you argue that this hurts the show too, though? The rewatchability is limited because every episode is so entangled in current events.
*Nailed it!*
You know what episodes you can watch about a million times? Toilet Paper. Bebe's Boobies Destroy Society. The Original one with Mitch Connors. Proper Condom Use (I'm a sucker for Mad Max references).
You know what's not funny after the first watch? humancentipad. Royal Pudding.
Casa Bonita...now THAT's comedy.
Also, please remember that " jump the Shark" does not mean , "has gotten worse". It means that a show has run it's course but because it makes money the staff ill go to any lengths to keep it on the air and talked about, ala Fonzie jumping the shark. Friday Night Lights never was successful enough to jump the shark.
I think the term is open to interpretation.
Its called Jumping the Shark because Fonzi JUMPED A SHARK, which is so ridiculous it is clear they were just making crap up at that point. Interpret that, Gandalf!
PS: If you type Gandalf, the closest 'real word' is 'Ugandan' in spellcheck. Stupid Spellcheck.
