The key when Baynes starts is that Brown has to take LeBron. That is a lot to ask of a young player but he seemed to do fine in Game 5. Can't allow CLE to get an early lead. If we can hold them off at the start with Morris on the bench, it sets up well for us.
Brown has been affected by the pressure of the moment these last few games. Tatum seems oblivious. Rozier has been all but taken out as a factor I think we will need one of Brown or Rozier to score more, be a threat that CLE needs to adjust to. More likely it will be Brown that breaks out. It is in his head, like when he couldn't make FTs. He is "aiming" his shot. He just needs to let muscle memory take over and shoot his natural shot. He is still very young. Let's see what he can do.
One other possibility, just to mess with Lue, maybe start Smart for Rozier, even if just for a few minutes. Maybe start Semi too. Lue's head would explode.
I don't think that's the case. It seems more like he is a still a bit tentative following his injury. He faced LeBron in last year's ECF too.
Can we at least understand the reality. Whether or not Baynes starts, Brown has to guard Lebron. Brown has guarded lebron every game but the first one. The only way Brown doesn't start is if Thompson sits in favor of Korver.
As far as brown being affected by the pressure, I dont think that's the case either. What brown is affected by is the fact that he's not THAT good yet. He's still young and learning, nowhere near an all star, so he's going to be up and down.
