Gordon Hayward was able to turn back the clock and put up 35 points on the-  fierce in name only - Minnesota Timberwolves last night!

This brings Hayward's double digit scoring games tally to 17 games this season.  is double digit to single digit games scoring ratio at 17:20.

He is now averaging 11.1 pts per game this season, and 10.8 ppg in the last 30 days.

He has scored 30 pts or more against the Timberwolves twice this season.

LOL so you dedicated a "double digit scoring thread" to a guy literally averaging double digits in scoring.

Watch ID never revive it when Gordon starts to really hit his stride, lol
ha, but i am sure someone else here will.  ;D

Similar story with the guy that calls GH 'Evan Turner 2.0'

Hayward was having a good game even before he hit double figures he had 9 pts 8 reb and 6 assists early in the 4th. But for some people you score less than 10 pts u must have sucked, never mind that the team is loaded with other scorers. All because Jae Crowder averaged more than 10 points on a cheaper contract [dang it]!!

The next criticism will be “but he only scored 12 he should be scoring 20+ every night since we paid 30m for him! If we wanted 12pts we could’ve had Jae Crowder!” (Nothing against Jae he was a great player for us when he was here.)

Never mind that we had 8 players that scored between 10-17 points and played unselfishly with 37 assists in a balanced effort.

I thought if you were bashing a Celtics wing player, Jeff Green was the official reference point? Jae Crowder now also?

Unless Tatum gets traded I do not think he rejoins the starters.

At this point in time I find it really hard not to see both Brown and Tatum being offered for a game changer center, especially with seeing how great Smart has been playing beside Irving.

Bench would take a hit, but that can be replenished, especially with so many draft picks and the ability to resign Morris if wanted.

Like if someone like KAT or Davis was the center.....then [dang],...

Irving/Rozier/Wannamaker
Smart/Semi/Bird
Hayward/Morris
Horford/Theis/Yabusele
Davis or KAT/Baynes/Williams

if both Brown and Tatum were dealt, it'd be with some draft picks as well for Davis.  That would also pretty much force Danny's hand in resigning Rozier, Morris and Theis to keep some talent on the roster.  Also, with the way Morris has been playing, I don't see him going to the bench again which translates into an issue with who does get forced to the bench between Horford and Hayward

It definitely creates problems for sure. And I can see Marcus having a problem with going back to the bench, but maybe not as long as he is paid. I mean Danny and Brad can figure that mess out.

Unfortunately I do see davis as a real longshot. And I think that team will be looking at other options for a center.

Who knows, Maybe Embiid, KP, Jokic become available too, or Cousins gets 100% healthy.

Hayward is looking better and better each week.  His confidence is increasing.  His lift is coming back and his athleticism is getting back to the point pre injury.  He will look his best in the playoffs but IMO next season we will see the guy we signed.

As for starting lineup.  I think he needs to be in the SL and so does Brown.  That's the team that is going to get out quick and get the lead.  Then Smart and Morris come in and lock down the other teams 2nd unit and not lose the lead.  Players will still be staggered to make sure we have 2 scorers on the floor at all times but I think Hayward should and Brown should start and come off after 5 minutes for Smart and Morris and be the guys who come back for Kyrie and Tatum.  This is the best rotation and team IMO.
