Players today are as fragile as Samuel L. Jackson in Unbreakable. And the Celtics coddle their players like newborns.

How on earth is Kemba out now? We literally get a guy hurt (or sick) every other day. Michael Jordan would go years without missing a game, our guys can't go more than a week or two, and every guy on our roster is turning into Kawhi when it comes to availability.

Yeah, this is getting to be a joke. How many games this season have we actually had our top 7 guys (never mind top 5)? I guess they were all available in the 1st game against Philly so I guess it doesn't really matter anyway.

Keeping Philly at 4/5 while we remain in at least the 3rd position has to be our main focus for the rest of this season. It helps us avoid MIL/PHI until at least the ECF.

As long as we keep winning and they end up healthy for the playoffs that's what most important. Unfortunately our guys seem to get hurt a lot (I'm sure other teams feel the same about their players  ???) Though it would be nice for them to be able to have some time to gel as a unit before that.

Also, Kemba doesn't strike me as a player who's soft. He played an average of 80 games from 2015-16, he's as tough as they come. It's just the way they manage players today, in the wake of the Kawhi saga. They want the player to feel that they're being looked after I guess.

There is also this crazy, off the wall theory out there that Kemba is, you know, actually injured and shouldn't be playing so he doesn't hurt himself worse.

I know, dumb theory.

If Houston can get away with playing guards and small forwards only why can’t brad play 5 small forwards tonight?
2 Js plus Gordon plus Semi plus Romeo ?

Grant Williams basically has the length of a small forward, let's see how well he does against Embiid.

If we can shoot close to 50% from 3 like they did I'm sure we can play whoever we want to play

I know a lot of posters complain about our offense but I noticed something today.

The Celtics offensive rating is 2.7 points better than the league average.

The last time the Celtics had an offensive rating 2.7 points higher than the league average was......1990-91....29 years ago. That team had a later in their careers Bird, McHale and Parish and a coming to age Reggie Lewis, Brian Shaw, Kevin Gamble and Ed Pinckney.

Maybe our offense is pretty good afterall.

The Sixers have one of the tallest starting lineups in NBA history. At the same time, our starting Center stands at 6'8''. Given our lack of size, we should push the pace and initiate the offense before their defense can set up. I'm talking about D'Antoni's ''7 seconds or less'' type of stuff. Constantly keep running the floor.

Problem is, we are playing without Kemba. Smart can do a million things on the court, but he ain't explosive enough to push the pace on offense. Call me a pessimist, but I don't see us winning the game tonight.

Gulp... He will be massacred!!

I wish Brad would swallow his dang pride and play Tacko for once... I have always had this suspicion Embiid will not be able to bully Tacko.

Embiid would toy with Tacko and move him around at will. Big doesn't mean good. Tacko can't guard Embiid, not now, not yet.

I watched Tacko play for the Red Claws yesteday, it was telecast on delay just a few hours ago...he's definitely not yet ready for Embiid. Ivan Rabb, the Knicks' G League center, put 17 on him. Plus his conditioning isn't quite there yet. He's not playing today on the 2nd night of a Maine back to back.

Remember the only times most people have seen Tacko is during garbage time against other teams' garbage time lineups...he's still got a long way to go. G League is the right place for him right now, and maybe even for part of next year.
