and here is a highlight video of walsh's game. his shooting form looks good, as do the results. he might pass some celtic bench players soon.

I love the defensive highlights, and if he can shoot like that in the pros then there's definitely a place for him. I think he'll struggle to get enough space for his shot, though, given how long he takes. I think if he stopped bringing it down so far before shooting, though, it would be plenty quick and could be a real weapon. I hope that's a point of emphasis for him next summer.
I am starting to have my doubts about Walsh. Doing well in Maine is fine, but he should be better when he plays with star players on the big club. I have not seen it offensively. That said, he is still very young, and cheap. Maybe he is trying too hard.

What are you seeing that you don?t like? I see really good defense, he crashes the glass hard but doesn?t consistently get the rebound, isn?t turning the ball over for the most part but his 3pt shooting is abysmal so far (2-3 on other fgs tho). I think he needs to keep getting spurts of playing time to get comfy. I it will likely take another year or two to unlock that 3pt shot.

As I said, it?s the offense and specifically missing too many wide open 3-pt shots.

Hmmm, I like the way he moves offensively. He drifts to the right spots and has shown an interesting off-speed ability to make plays going to the basket. But yeah, on this team he?s going to need to be more consistent from 3 in order to get regular playing time.

That is exactly it, on this team with its offensive style. I am not a huge fan of this style but heck it won a championship so its all good.
TANGENT: Remember C?s coach Jim O?Brien in the 2000s?  He tried to implement a ?five-out? approach but didn?t have the guns to make it work.

Maine had a big win in its second game -- second good game in a row from Scheierman, with 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 6-of-10 from three, including a halfcourt shot that got on SportsCenter.

Story says Davison had his second consecutive 30-point game, though if someone can help me make sense of the box score, I'd appreciate it.

https://gleague.nba.com/game/mne-vs-del-2052400022?view=box-score

Says he was 9-21 from the field, 1-6 from three, 6-6 from the line, which adds up to 25 according to my math. Though I now see the team totals add up to 122 points instead of 130. Scorekeepers must be sub-high school level ...

Two days off from C?s schedule, but there?s a Maine Celtics game tonight vs. Westchester Knicks broadcast on NBCSB.
