Then you are guarding and player rips up through your arm initiating all contact - how is that a foul on guy with arm there first not moving it?  Such a bogus call!

Hate that call. If they had that back when Bird played he goes to the line 20-25 times a game.
Wasn't the rip through one of the things they were going to stop calling as one of the "emphasis" directives that the League puts out at the beginning of a season to the refs, maybe last season?

And yes, if they would have called that a defensive foul in the 80s, Larry Bird would have averaged 25 free throws a game and 50 points a game.
They emphasised it no longer being a shooting foul. but the onus is still on the defender to keep his hands out of the cookie jar
Thanks! I thought I was losing my mind.

Since when did Cam Payne become more than an end of the bench srub NBA player? He's actually looked halfway decent tonight.

Tatum’s been really lethargic all game long. He’s hesitating on most of his attempts. He just looks tired.
Not a fan of how he brings up the ball super slowly all the time.

Then again, might be conserving energy for when it matters? I don't know.

Haha same here. It’s like an eight second violation is waiting to happen everytime he does that!

I think I saw that once a few weeks ago - and I've seen him NOT get called for one once or twice too :D

It's also one of those "once you see it" things. I now can't NOT notice it when he brings it up slow.

Maybe more Parker.... We are better with Tatum on the floor just for the attention he attracts...

We got our big lead with Tatum on the bench.  Rest him.
