  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
-I laid out my general rotation in the Presser thread. Korver, Battier, Chalmers get roughly 16-20 MPG.

Each, or combined? I'm having a hard time seeing your rotation as a total package.

I believe someone asked me a question after the press conference had been held...it should be on one of the later pages.

Page 10 I believe...

Obviously specific rotations are subject to be altered depending on the opponent, but I believe I have assembled the most versatile lineup in the league with the ability to go big or small.

My standard rotation regardless of opponent would likely be something like this...

1 - Ellis (24), Chalmers (16), Farmar (6), Bradley (2)
2 - Bradley (22), Ellis (12), Korver (10), Battier (2), Miles (2)
3 - James (18), Battier (18), Korver (10), Crowder (2)
4 - Ibaka (18), James (20), Davis (10)
5 - Jordan (24), Ibaka (18), Davis (4), Stiemsma (2)

...with Crowder, Miles, or Stiemsma being the scratch.

In this series, Crowder or Miles would get the scratch and Bradley would likely play closer to 28-30 MPG.

So I read today Battier is contemplating retirement.  How can he be a factor in this series if he isn't playing?  ;D

Well if that matters to you, make sure you also account for the fact that Rondo, Williams, Rush, and Ezeli are all recovering from long term injuries and they won't be playing either.

Don't worry I'm not considering it, just poking a little fun

After mcuh thought, I'm going with Minny.

Just don't see any way around the fact GS just won't be able to contain LeBron.  Add in the fact Minny should be able to mitigate whatever effect Rondo has on the game (he'll still have a major impact) and I don't think GS's front court is enough to over come their weaknesses on the wing.

No one player can guard Lebron. It's team D. It's not like he's gonna average 80 ppg. Offensively he has no help and you underestimate how difficult it will be for him to score at the rim.

The rest of his team has a combined 0 all star games. Ibaka and Ellis are his two and three. Ibaka folded immensely in that role after Westbrook went down.

Ellis is just Ellis. He does more harm by just being on the court. Milwaukee saw letting him go as addition by subtraction.

It isn't about accolades - it is about offering a skill set and filling a role. When you get the number one overall pick and then get the 50th and 75th pick afterwards, it can be difficult to assemble a team of superstars in this exercise. I targeted players who had defensive skill and offered another skill to add to the team. The fact that LeBron is my team's only All-Star means nothing. Ibaka is meant to be a third scoring option on this team - the same role as his real life role on OKC. Ellis is the second scorer - something he is more than capable of doing. The remainder of my roster are supplemental players who offer defense and/or shooting. My roster is more healthy than yours, has a better defense, has better floor spacing, and has the best player.

Kane-

That post wasn't meant to be abrasive - but rather a response to your attempts to pull my team down rather than building yours up. You have a good roster and I think they are a dangerous foe. You have assembled a roster that is more than capable of winning it all - Now it is time for the voters to decide. Best of luck.

No worries partner. You've done excellent at this thing. Take nothing I said personal. It's all in the confines of the game. Personally Lebron is so difficult to go against I feel you have to try and expose as many holes in the supporting cast as you can bc he has none. I think you have to do that while you build up your team too. That was simply my strategy.

You've put together a strong team and you're very deserving of advancement.

TP. Best of luck  :)

Sportsmanship :-)

Anyways - I hear what you're saying. To be honest, winning the lottery has made this a unique experience. I'm sure it's a lot different when you are drafting in the back half of the draft as opposed to building around the best player alive. Either way, it has been fun and I look forward to doing it next year.
