I don't think this series is close at all. Head2Head George has a hard time scoring against Durant and Durant also has a bit of a hard time, but his FG% isn't as bad as George's.

Whoah that is a pretty dominant history.  Though I think the games before this past season it was most likely Durant on Granger

I only payed attention to the games this season and Durant made 22 out of 45 shots (48.8%) against George. George on the other hand made 8 out of 26 (30.7%). Durant outscored George 61-25 in 2 meetings this season.

Though I admittedly hate the, this guy is better than this guy analysis.

I don't dispute this.  Strategy is obviously more important.  I was simply using those comparisons as a starting point.

But for the record, Okafor is hands down better than Lopez.

Maybe in his prime, but not anymore.  Its definitely swung the other way in my view.

Upset that Milwaukee drew this matchup as I liked this team...however, I think Indy (despite weak bench) takes this in 6 games

Quickly browsing through the matchups and wow... If there is an upset to be had in the playoffs, this is the one. MIL matches up with INd perfectly... Don't understand how IND takes this one even with their star power. I say MIL in 6, maybe even 5

Haha, did you see how durant and Paul George faired in their matchups last year?

I was about to say the same thing. (To be honest though I was surprised by the fact that George struggled mightily against Durant on offense.)

It is rare that a George doesn't have a size or speed advantage over a player he is going up against.  Usually one of those attributes is a big mismatch in George's favor.  He doesn't have either against Durant.

I am sorry if my argument isn't very convincing for you darklord.  I suspect your mind has long been already made up, so I doubt anything I could say will change that.

That's fine, though, we all can't see things the same.  I do feel, however, my overall stronger supporting cast would win out over the two man team.

How has Conely played Williams post-Denver era?

I don't think that this was meant to be his arguement, more pointing out how he isn't outmatched at every position

How has Conely played Williams post-Denver era?

Gah,
I had a long write up and then it timed out on me.  So I apologize for the formatting on the tables but here is the jist.  Williams scored more as you would expect while the rest of the matchup is fairly even.  This is during their 3 times playing eachother since williams has been in New Jersey

In the two times playing last year where both George and Durant were playing SF and guarding eachother Durant owned the matchup.  Scoring almost 20 more ppg while shooting 20% better from the field.

And in the two games last year with both Scola and Anderson playing starters minutes, 28 mpg for scola, 32 for anderson.  The matchup was remarkably even.

          Pts         FG%          3P%         RPG          APG
Williams   20.67   50%   50%   3.33   7.00
Conley   13.33   57%   43%   1.33   7.33

Durant   30.5   49.7%   38%   8.5   2.5
George   12.5   30.3%   33%   7.5   2.5

Scola       14     0.4875        6     2
Anderson   15.5   0.3875      7   1.5
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Well, just got home from work and am rather exhausted and in need of a nap.  I have a busy day ahead of me, so I probably will not be spending much time here today, but will have my "pitch" ready shortly.

As I stated, I'm not likely going to be around much to answer any questions, or provide counter arguments, so feel free to make up your minds as you see fit.

Indiana to win in a short series.

Two best players play at the same position on both teams (Durant + Deron vs P.George + Conley) and Indiana's dynamic duo are much, much better than Milwaukee's. I also prefer Indiana's bench to Milwaukee's. R.Lopez and L.Scola effectively neutralize Okafor and R.Anderson.

Overall, this is just a very bad matchup for Milwaukee. They have no advantage against this Pacers team except for JJ Redick at SG. And that ain't gonna be nearly enough to make up the deficit in Durant/Deron vs P.George/Conley.

I agree.  I have to say, im glad that I'm not the only one that thinks that Scola/lopez is about equal to anderson/okafor.
