It came up in the physical and the trade may be in jeopardy.

Hopefully it turns out not to be serious for him.

Yeah, hopefully it’s nothing.  My dad had kidney cancer.  One of the “better” cancers, but still life-changing. They cut out the kidney and the surrounding lymph nodes, and luckily it didn’t spread.  13 years cancer free.

Oh crap! A friend of mine had a mass in his kidney discovered by accident and he was 43. It was cancer.. one of the most dangerous and difficult to treat cancers.
It’s been a year since the surgery but he needs another year without a recurrence to be sure he will be fine.
Really scary stuff.

That's awful.  If it's kidney cancer (obviously hope not) and hasn't spread, that's probably OK news. They can remove the kidney clean and be cancer free.  Not sure what that would mean for playing but I'd guess he could come back 100% from that. I can't see how that doesn't temporarily put a hold on the trade.  If he's out for the year with uncertain future Indiana has to put a halt and renegotiate.

The Harden trade itself has cleared.  Looks like the LeVert / Oladipo move was to be done subsequently.

"Kidney mass" could mean a renal cyst or an angiomyolipoma no need to panic yet.

In theory can trades be nullified  or nets and rockets must provide Pacers more compensation?

They were separate trades.  Indy can nullify the Oladipo for LeVert deal.

Edit:  The trade has cleared.  Indy got a second rounder.

Could be anything. Unfortunately it could also be something.   For me it turned out to be cancer.  I pray for this young kid its just a fatty mass.  Probably season ending or half the year missed depending on how invasive it is.

Guess it was fate that he got traded. Might have saved his life.

Yeah.  Should have followed up with that.  2017 I went into the ER with bad stomach pains.  Ended up it was  caused by diverticulitis and they also found a mass on my kidney.  So I went home with cancer as well. They ended up catching it early and was stage 1.  They cut out half my kidney and I've been cancer free for 4 years.  The diverticulitis saved my life.

Great to hear that you're a survivor.  :)

Back on Caris, I hope the young man has the same outcome. Hopefully it's been picked up early.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Good it was found early and you beat/survived it.
