Marcus Smart has suffered a torn oblique on left side and could be sidelined for the first two rounds of the playoffs, league source tells ESPN.

That hurts. Smart, with his newly found three point shot, was an excellent addition to the starting 5 next to Kyrie this year. Torn oblique could just as well mean, next year.

My guess is Hayward gets the starting position, though I think Brown would be much better guarding the opposition's starting SG than Hayward or Tatum would.

So glad that meaningless game vs Orlando was worth it. Should have sat everyone.

Start Brown. Need Hayward on the second unit to even out Rozier

Well Woj would know, he has so many inside sources on the Celtics.

ugh..guess that meaningless signing makes more sense now. We really needed Smart for second series if we make it past Indy(we should).

I’m so bummed to read this.

Terry will have to step up.

Another A+ job, Brad! One of our most important players gets severely injured in a meaningless game right before the playoffs because you’re a dumbass who doesn’t think, even though you had no problem resting other players costing us games while we were still in the battle for the fourth seed for some ungodly reason.  >:(

So done with Brad. It’s dumb, arbitrary, and inconsistent decisions like this that have screwed us over all season long. What a joke. The day he no longer coaches the C’s can’t come soon enough.

This hurts a lot. We need Brown to fill in and play every game like it's his last (just like Marcus does).

1. Major blow if true

2. Smart is the first guy I'd expect to try to play through this kind of thing.

3. The Bucks would be heavily favored in round two whether or not Smart is able to play.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Just a complete buffoon. Such a failed season from Stevens. It’s like he was lobotomized this past summer.
