Nets hiring D'Antoni as assistant coach.  With all the head coaching jobs that were available, this is a surprise.

Guess he's Kyrie and KD's insurance in case Nash doesn't know what he's doing  :police:

Sounds like buyer's remorse over hiring Steve Nash.

Why get the next D'Antoni when you can have the real D'Antoni?

Might as well bring back the 07-08 Phoenix Suns squad and call Shaq to help coach the team as well.

Several big name coaches on that staff and still not a single word regarding defense...

I read that they also hired Ime Udoka who is a very good defensive coach.

Meanwhile the Cs stand pat with soft Brad Stevens and make no moves to shore up the coaching staff.

Hopefully, these moves by the 76ers and Nets are putting pressure on Danny Ainge to get it right.

The reality is, nobody wanted D'antoni as a head coach

Now he becomes an assistant for a player he used to coach

I would have just retired

steve Nash is the one who hired dantoni. Assistants are chosen by the head coach. You realize that right lol

He also signed Amare Stoudemire, and Jacque Vaughn. That nets coaching staff is going to get a lot of attention next season

Man, if Nash can utilise D'Antoni and Udoka right this team could be frightening if KD is able to come back to what he was.

Spooky

I wonder whether Jarrett Allen may become available. Don't think he'd be a good fit in D'Antoni's system. Not to mention, he doesn't share the same time window with KD and Kyrie.

This is my hope. I would like to steal him for cheap.

They'll probably start KD at the 5 and DJ will be their bench big anyway, knowing D'Antoni ;)
