That's the thing about yabusele. He hasn't played enough minutes for anyone to be able to tell if hes an NBA player or not

I've read other teams message boards and they're confused about yabusele too but still moderately impressed at his size and some of his tangible skills.

He's gonna need minutes to show what he's really got

For a pick that went No16 I think you would expect more from him.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

And more minutes on the floor as well.

I am not sure you can really a player a bust when they are outside of the lottery.  Maybe he didn't meet expectations is a better way to describe him.  He seems like a good kid,  and I like his enthusiasm and hustle, but I don't see Yabu getting major minutes anytime here ever.  He doesn't really seem to have developed much and his future is probably as salary ballast in a trade for AD.

Unequivocally. And I like Yabu.

But we took him ahead of Beasley, Levert (the guy I wanted us to pick), Siakam, D Murray, Zubac, Brogdon, McCaw and Jake Layman (another guy I wanted).

Not to mention the other guys we took. Zizic and Nader. I like Zizic, but Nader is one of my least favourite C's ever. Especially when we could've had VanVleet, Nwaba, Derrick Jones Jr., Yogi Ferrell, Dorian Finney-Smith or Danuel House. Ugh.

One of my least favourite drafts in the DA era

Bust -- unfortunately. He has talent but he hasn't worked hard enough to develop it. Still too bad on defense. Still too unreliable with his outside shot.

Time to go back to Europe. Maybe he can return someday if he works on his game.

Gerald Green but a physical freak in a completely different sense!

If PJ Tucker can do it so can Yabu!

Of course he is. This isn't even debatable.

I’d say no, only because I never expected him to be very good.

He’s the human victory cigar. And he does the arrow & dab.

So no.

for a #16 pick, he should be earning some minutes in his 3rd season.  however, Danny was loaded with picks and used Yabu as a stash rather than as a player needed for an immediate contribution so Danny could take more of a risk on a slow developer.  He's also got some others ahead of him on the depth chart so it's not like he's going to get minutes on a regular basis.

weighing those opposing points, I'd say at best he's a disappointment.  I suspect he'll be part of an AD deal to fill some of the salary matching and he may yet flourish on another team, like a rebuilding NO, that can give him some minutes to show what he can do.
