I would be interested but I see him going to LAL or someplace like that, not on a rebuilding Boston team that lost out on Davis and didn't sign Kyrie.  Plus, I am not sure we can offer much of a contract can we?

I'd rather just keep Horford, and I don't think those two fit together.

I have said this on quite a few threads also.  I think for the right price, it is worth the gamble.  We need a pass first PG with him, though.

Why not?

Al is still mobile enough to defend the perimeter, and Cousins is actually good at defending the post.  Offensively, both can play inside or out.

I think Boogie would rather go somewhere where he'll be a focal point on offence.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

What is most we could offer him? Certainly worth looking into. He did list Boston as his second choice behind GSW. His achilles should have improved more, and he has never relied on his athleticism. His size and nastiness would be an asset, frankly. Just don't think we can offer him enough $$.

I wouldn't be opposed to this, if Boogie wanted to come. Kinda reminds me of how we took a chance on Evan Turner, and that turned out pretty well.
2023 No Top 75 Fantasy Draft Los Angeles Clippers
PG: Dennis Johnson / Jo Jo White / Stephon Marbury
SG: Sidney Moncrief / World B. Free
SF: Chris Mullin / Ron Artest
PF: Detlef Schrempf / Tom Chambers / Buck Williams

I would gladly sign him for an affordable price.

We need a legitimate center--and with Baynes and Horford both having injury issues last season, I think it would be in the team's best interest to sign a guy who can play 25 solid minutes for us.

Assuming he doesn’t re-up with GSW, I’d love to give boogie cousins a shot. We need a big and he’s got a diverse skill set that fits our schemes.

Unfortunately we can only offer MLE and I don’t see a reason why he’d even consider Boston. We’re not offering more money, or playing time, or an increased shot at contention.

Even if we re-signed Horford to a $20 million contract (instead of his current $30 million) and renounced all of our remaining free agents, we wouldn't have any cap room.  We'd be limited to the MLE, worth a bit over $9 million.

Would have to find a taker for hayward and shed half his salary to have enough space

wouldn't be against bringing him in if he shows he's willing to be a team-first player.  would address some issues in the front court.

question that comes to mind for me though is if Kyrie leaves, are we better off signing Cousins with the MLE or a good PG with the MLE (perhaps Beverly)?  I want Rozier gone regardless of what Kyrie does and as much as I love Smart, I don't feel he brings enough of a threat on offense to be a good starting PG
