I'd love to see Jeff Van Gundy return to New York. He'd be great for that roster.

When D'Antoni gets fired, I think he should go to Sacramento.  The Kings need a coach who can get those offensive pieces moving and working together.

No, I think Sacramento and D'Antoni would be a very bad fit for one another.

Sacramento needs to continue to develop Tyreke Evans as a power point guard and DeMarcus Cousins as a low post presence on both ends of the court. That has to be their #1 priority and D'Antoni isn't the man to that.

I would be looking more for an established club than a rebuilding team for D'Antoni. Not the messenger I'd want around young players when teaching basic philosophies and fundamentals of the game.

I think the Knicks have a great deal more to offer in terms of defense and rebounding and that a coach like Jeff Van Gundy would be just the man to get it out of them.

Wonder if Tyson Chandler is kicking himself yet?

He looked like he wanted to kick Amare Stoudemire a couple of times tonight when Stat was day dreaming while guys were cutting to the rim for lay ups.

I think Gallo is turning into a star before our eyes.  He definitely isn't as good as Melo, but he can at least be thought of as on the tier below, and is a better defender which is almost more important for that position.

Pretty much what everybody says.

Melo+Amare are not complimentary players (whereas what they sent out did complement Amare). They lost Billups which is a pretty big deal.

On the other hand, I hope the Nuggets go far. The way superstars are teaming up is really becoming a joke (Just look at what Deron Williams is doing right now. Seriously.)

Can you believe that people are actually saying that we started this fad with our own big three? Danny traded for the big three with assets. Plus, they all served their teams and gave it their best. The Wolves and the Supersonics cannot really ask for more from KG and Ray.
The bold do you know how many times I had to come and defend this Big 3? People had the audacity to bring KG and him leaving  Minnesota and compare it to how Miami went about. I had to correct some people and show video proof of how Boston Big 3 got together.
On this it's not a surprise Denver is doing well, I remember people even on here looking at New York crazy and saying they were stupid giving up all those players and picks for Melo and threw Chauncey in there only to kick him to the curb after the season was over and in the end not even get their Big 3 in Paul like they thought.

There are very few things that would give me more satisfaction than seeing the New York situation continue to be a mess.

Carmelo is a great player, but he isn't the player that gets his teammates involved enough...

Amar'e game suffered a lot since the arrival of Carmelo, and I hate to say it. As much as i hate Lebron, Lebron not only is a good offensive player, he also passes really well and plays really good D

I'll admit that I have never seen Carmelo Anthony as a "superstar". He is a good offensive player but he is not good on defense (dare I say borderline apathetic at times) and is a bit of a ball hog and usually ends up costing his team games. You don't have to be stellar on defense to qualify as a Top 10 type player but I think you have to be at least average... Melo is not an average defender.

I'm not a fan of LeBron James but I do see him as a "superstar" talent. In the situation shown in the picture in this thread LeBron, Kobe, Wade, Dirk and other Top guys would pass the ball to either of the open guys knowing that he had no shot.

I honestly see him as a Top 30 talent, Top 20 max. Call me whatever you want but that's just the way I see it.
