In my opinion, the Bulls trade doesn't make all that much sense for Denver. Just not enough back for Carmelo, so it got me thinking about what would be best for them. Here's what I've got

Denver Sends:

Carmelo Anthony
JR Smith
Shelden Williams

New Jersey Sends:

Derrick Favors
Travis Outlaw
Anthony Morrow
Troy Murphy

Denver would probably be best suited to give the keys to Lawson and trade Billups for more pieces, and thent trade Murphy at the dealine. But before that you'd be looking at rotations of:

Denver:

Billups
Affalo
Outlaw
Murphy
Favors

Rotation: Morrow, Lawson, Harrington, Anderson.

New Jersey:

Harris
T-Will
Melo
Humphries
Lopez

Rotation: JR Smith, Boone, Farmar, D. James, Petro, Q. Ross

New Jersey would probably want to make a smaller trade for a legitimate 4. Maybe James and a pick for Big Baby.

Thoughts?

Theoretically it actually makes a lot of sense.  My thoughts are that Denver knows they have a top 5 player, and doesn't feel there is anything out there worth replacing him with.  That being said, this is the best I have heard so far.

You're also right about this.  If Carmello goes somewhere, Billups is gone.  TP!
