Would be a good move for the Clippers.

Might be bad news for Eastern teams...though, the Nets need so many different things to go right that I still wouldn't be worried.

If I were LAC I would jump on a trade of PG13 for Dinwiddie, Allen, LeVert and a 1st round pick
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Does George get to coach the Nets on some days too?

Seems like a good deal for both teams.

That means Kawhi is gone, since he only wanted to come to the Clippers if Paul George was coming over.

#JTJB (Just Trade Jaylen Brown)
#JFJM (Just Fire Joe Mazzulla)

Kawhi still has one more year on his deal, right?

Exactly.  Kawhi forced the Clips to trade for George.  He's not going to be happy if George is traded especially if it is not for another star.  Dinwiddie, Allen and LeVert aren't going to get the Clips past the Lakers.  Trading George and having Kawhi demand a trade or walk in free agency would be very Clipperesque.

Yes.  Both he and George have 1 year left on their contracts.

I'm wondering whether the C's could jump in and strike a deal with the Clips.

Let's say Kemba + Theis + picks for George

https://tradenba.com/trades/q3i-tuAzP

Fwiw, Kemba and George are basically the exact same age (they were born 6 days apart).

PG: Smart
SG: Brown
SF: George
PF: Tatum
C: Timelord

6th man: Hayward
Use the bi-annual on Nerlens Noel.

Worst case scenario, George walks in 2021. Hayward's contract comes off the books in 2021 as well, hence we can go after a star free agent (Giannis, Kawhi, Jrue, Oladipo, Gobert).

Why does this helps us other than future flexibility?

we get worse in the paint , we lose two starters and we get PG whos value is guestionable at the moment.

Unlike Kemba, PG is a 2-way player. He's the best player in the trade. It would be a 'quality over quantity' trade. Rule of thumb is, the team that gets the best player usually wins the trade.

We'd have an amazing wing rotation of Brown - George - Hayward - Tatum. You can even add Smart to this list cause he operates as a wing on defense. The defensive potential of this team would be out of this world! The C's are already an elite defensive team. I bet we'd become hands down the best defensive team in the NBA (especially if we sign a guy like Noel in free agency).

Really don't think the Clippers would do that, but Walker+Theis+14+26+30 for George is a deal I'd be really happy with.
Also adding Noel would be a steal.

Playoff rotation: Smart (35), Langford (10), Brown (35), Tatum (35), George (35), Hayward (35), G.Williams (15), R.Williams (20), Noel (20)

I get the reasoning and last summer i'd have agreed 1000% but i am not sure we ll get the PG you describe.

Besides i don't see it addressing our biggest problems. Even thinner frontline and and still no closer , nobody who gets 10 fts per game ....
