I would do this in a heartbeat, but I doubt Denver give up Barton for so little.

Mudiay is a much better shooter than Smart this year, is a good playmaker and is a big guard. He'd be fun on this team.

I think this is more Barton for Smart. He's the best player in the trade.

Nobody really cares for or wants Mudiay...

He has been basically buried in the bench...but I think CBS can rejuvanate his game

Plus he is locked up for 3 more years

Since Denver wont include any picks I imagine, Im asking for Barton who I dont think they will bring back next season.  He would provide that scoring punch off the bench the celts need

And lastly Danny can ask for Hernangomez who he was targeting in the 2016 draft

I wasn't disputing this at all. I was more saying that Mudiay is way more valuable than Yabu and Nader. Hernangomez is probably more valuable than those two as well

This year perhaps. I still think the Celticsblog forum underestimates Yabu's potential.

Yes ..but is Barton way more valuable than Smart?

Celts want a 1st and rotational player for Smart

Smart is worth morr than Barton due to rfa vs ufa. Plus is younger and better defender

I actually agree, I rate Yabu very highly, relative to how others seem to regard him. But I'm not sure how high GM's league-wide rate him.

Barton is certainly more valuable than Smart. It may not be considerable, but he is definitely more valuable.

Mudiay is easily more valuable than Yabu, especially with his developed range and free throw shooting.

Hernangomez is more valuable than Nader, because almost anything is more valuable than Nader.

The trade is unbalanced

It's a good trade for the Celtics and Smart is a really good fit for Denver, who could use a defensive anchor like Marcus.

mudaiy has more upside than smart, not a great prospect but still better, however his contract next year might be a determent as it will get as closer to hard cap, but may be useful is generating a anthony davis deal

I was a big fan of Mudiay when he was drafted but it has been very disappointing to see how little he has grown over the last 2 and 1/2 seasons. He has so much raw talent. What a waste.

It would be interesting to see if Stevens could do more with him than Denver has.
