It seems like almost everyone has Harden as a top 20 player. Am I the only one who thinks he’s cooked?

I don't know. I am waiting until next season to see if he can bounce back or not. He had a strange season last year. Some very good play for BKN for a short period sandwiched in between bad or disappointing periods early and late in the season.

I could see him reemerge as a top 10 guy or fall out of All-Star level play altogether. He should still be an above average starter with his high skill-level (ball-handling, passing, shooting).

A cooked James Harden is still a Trae Young-esque offensive talent, who plays much better defence and gets heaps of rebounds.

How do you figure that?  Young scored 6 more points per game on way better percentages.

If Harden was the be-all and end-all of his offence, instead of the #2 option, it would be much the same in my opinion.

I don't think he's good enough to carry an offense every night anymore.  I think Young is... unless it's the playoffs ;)  But Harden has always come up short in the playoffs himself.

Last year in Brooklyn, from Christmas until he basically asked out of Brooklyn, so 16 games, Harden looked like the Harden of old.  Durant missed a lot of time in that stretch and Irving wasn't back yet.  He was 26.4 p, 10.9 a, 8.3 r with a 58.5 TS%.  That wasn't quite vintage Harden, but it wasn't far off either.  He then pulled his hammy, was traded, and wasn't the same in Philly.

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

1. Giannis
2. Durant
3. Jokic
4. Doncic
5. Curry
6. Lebron
7. Embiid
8. Leonard
9. Davis
10. Tatum
11. Morant
12. George
13. Butler
14. Lillard
15. Zion
16. Booker
17. Paul
18. Harden
19. Young
20. Towns
my order would be different, but the only guy I'd take off is Towns and I'd probably just put Edwards in his place.  I thought about Mitchell and Brown, and also taking Young off, but I think I'd give Young and Edwards a very slight edge on Mitchell and Brown.

I think you have the right names in the top 20 for the most part.

Why Young over Brown? Brown isn’t going to win defensive player of this year, but Young might be the biggest liability in the NBA. On offense, they’re both averaging 27pts per game.

Doncic over Tatum? Defense is a big deal in the NBA, and Doncic isn’t good. He’s an offensive wunderkind, and below average on D.

I have no idea why Chris Paul is in the top 20 still for so many people?  Maybe 3 or 4 years ago?

Agree. I’d rather see SGA, Hailburton, or Garland over Paul.

I was thinking the same thing as you guys.  He's not currently great and I saw some recent Demarcus Cousins quotes saying Paul doesn't deserve to be on the alltime top point guard lists either.  I guess I agree with Cousins due to Paul never having playoff success.

I'm surprised by these lists, and especially surprised there is so little support for Jaylen(this is a Celtics Blog!), who I see around #12-13.

Leonard is off until he plays his way back on
Chris Paul and James Harden do not belong on this list
Towns and Butler just miss. Beal misses.
Zion is an edge case

SGA is absolutely on. Mitchell is absolutely on
