At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Chris Grenham: Jayson Tatum has been working out in Miami of late in preparation for the Olympics. He and the rest of Team USA will soon report to Las Vegas ahead of their exhibition schedule. The first of five exhibition games is July 10 at 8pm ET vs Nigeria. All five games will be on NBCSN

Didnt he say that he was going to join/work with Tatum at the olympics?

No big center?

Yeah, that is what I noticed as well.  Lack of size really hurt us in FIBA 2019.  I think we will have same issue in Olympics.  Albeit with a lot more talent, obviously.

Who would it be? The best big men I can think of are mostly not American.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

There really aren’t many options. The only player that I can think of who’s a legit C and is deserving of being on team USA is Brook Lopez.

I wonder if Jaylen was healthy and not recovering from the wrist surgery, if he would have been chosen to represent the US. He is clearly better than several players on that team and was invited onto a USA team in the past.

I suppose it was written somewhere else, but after the TQO, the Czech Republic (Satoranski, Vesely, Shilb) will be the 4th team of the group. A little disapointing not seeing Giannis in Olympics ( I guess with his injury he may not come whatever) or on the paper or facing Canada, but it is a good news for France, in the paperboard. The TQOs were very surprinsing with Lituania, Serbia, Canada, Greece out... Good news for Australia, Spain or France who have an easyier way to the medal.
And again Doncic wrote a bit time of Slovenia's sport story, with a 45 of evaluation. At the same time Pogacar write another page of Slovenia story in Tour de France, but looks unfortunately like the next Armstrong.

100%. IMO, he’s better than Middleton, Grant and LaVine at the SG/SF spot.

I also believe he could outplay Love as a PF even though that is not his natural position

Maybe Jarrett Allen, Derrick Favors, Cousins, Robin Lopez, Drummond, maybe even our own Moses Brown just to have some size? I think any of these guys would fill more of a need than Love.

Dwight Howard?

Is Ben Simmons not playing for the Australian Olympic team?

Nope he is skipping the olympics to focus on his 'individual development'

ie remembering that when you have a dunk you don't pass it off to another team mate with a worse shot

Ah Ben Simmons using the old 'taking time to work on my game'

Haven't bothered for the 5 years I've been on an NBA roster but thought now might be a good time to do that.

Loser.

For centers, best I can think of is probably Myles Turner and Jarrett Allen. Another interesting choice would have been Christian Wood.
2023 No Top 75 Fantasy Draft Los Angeles Clippers
PG: Dennis Johnson / Jo Jo White / Stephon Marbury
SG: Sidney Moncrief / World B. Free
SF: Chris Mullin / Ron Artest
PF: Detlef Schrempf / Tom Chambers / Buck Williams
C: Ben Wallace / Andrew Bynum
