Great finish to a game that was extremely frustrating. The Celtics out shot the Heat 53% to 40%, they had 1 more 3 point make, and were +13 points at the charity stripe.
Unfortunately the Heat had a lot more shots to work with because the Celtics coughed it up 13 more times than the Heat and also allowed 12 more offensive boards than the Heat did. Ugly way to make a game close when it shouldn't have been.
Thank goodness Rondo (with a nice pass from Pierce) bailed us out after Paul and Ray both made bad plays late in the game which almost allowed Dwayne Wade to literally steal a game at the buzzer. In OT Rondo kept it up scoring 6 points, and almost making a 3 pointer that Perkins ultimately turned into 2 FT attempts on an offensive board. The bench was very disappointing, it really hurts to be missing House/Daniels/Sheed from the second unit. They were outscored 37 to 12 by the Heat's bench.
Rondo - 3
Perkins - 2
Rasheed - 1
I really wish I could give Sheed another point, but his awful sequence after fouling out and early in the third quarter won't let me take a point from Rondo. Rasheed was awesome in the fourth and for the game overall. Perkins/Rondo just brought it more consistently.
