Over Walker??  Last person I thought would suggest
 ;D

I don't think we should.

We need to trade Walker as soon as such an opportunity arises. By relegating him to the bench he automatically loses status and value, which will make it even harder to trade him. In my mind we should keep starting Walker for the rest of the season and hope he'll find some rhythm back.

Things have not gone the Celtics' way after the Brown-Tatum drafts and signing Walker was a big mistake. A panic move after Irving left us. The approach to solve the situation in my opinion is economically. Accept that this team isn't going to the NBA Finals this year and try to build up value on players that need development or have to be showcased.

In the meantime Pritchard should get a lot of minutes as the first back-up guard.

Tatum, Brown, Timelord, Pritchard are keepers. And Smart if he shows ability to play under control.
The rest of the team we just have to figure it out. Not easy.

PP highlight from tonight game

Look at that score in the 3rd. Nuggets came all the way back. Pritch settled things down, easy looks. Celts went back up by 7.  Overall sweet production from the bench guys

Anyone else see p$ stand up jokic on the three point line?
Big guy sees whose guarding him, tries to back through him and is stopped cold. Looks around, see’s that yes, he just bumped into a 5’10 brick wall and  tries to roll through him again, again he is stoped cold.
It was so fun to see, it made me laugh out loud. I don’t even care that P$ was eventually called for the foul.

Payton is moving on up.

Prichard has just signed with Nike.

Future Air Prichard’s?
5' 10" former point guard

Career highlight: 1973-74 championship, Boston Celtics

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

Congrats to him.  Has to be a dream for an Oregon kid, getting a Nike deal.

Career game for him last night, despite the loss. He seems to have gotten over the rookie hump.
1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1981, 1984, 1986, 2008

I think Pritchard has been in most "last minute game scenarios", but if he hasn't? That would be on Stevens.

Anyway, I did Pritchard's stats for his first 10 games in Boston and his most recent last 10 games...

First 10 games (per game) 12/23 through 1/8

MPG 21
FGA 6.1
FG% 54%
3PA 2.6
3P% 42.3%
TREB 2.4
AST 3.1
TO 1.9
Stl 1.4
PPG 8.6

Last 10 games 4/9 through 4/27
MPG 19.7
FGA 8.0
FG% 47.5%
3PA 4.3
3P% 48.8%
TREB 2.7
AST 1.6
TO .7
Stl .4
PPG 11.1

He plays better with a good center. With Robert he must have killer stats. Thompson is more clunky, not intuitive with alley oops, inside hand offs and the like which Pritchard needs underneath with his 4 foot wingspan under the hoop.

He started 144 games in college....yikes.
MPG 33.7 (he got to "rest" 6.3 mpg in 144 games)
FGA 10.4
FG% 43.7%
3PA 4.3
3P% 37.9%
TREB 3.8
AST 4.6
TO 2.0
Stl 1.5
PPG 13.5 (as a senior 20.5 ppg & 41.5% from three)

He wants to win.
He's a solid distributor knowing what the recipient will be able to do.
He is square at the end of games, happy to make the shot.

And, of course, he's a three point freaking launch pad!!
