They are back to their pinching and winning ways, downing College Park 108 to 107. A close one.

And here is the tale of the youngsters.

Edwards
36 minutes, 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. He shot 10 for 19 and 4-11 from three point land. A very nice evening for him.

Fall
15 minutes, 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 block. He shot 3-5 from the field and 2-5 FT. He only played for 15 minutes, less than usual, because he had 5 fouls. But a typically efficient evening for Tacko, save for the FT.

For the season, Tacko is averaging 23.4 minutes, 14 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks. His shooting is truly schizophrenic. His FG% is a staggering 73% while his FT is also staggering, but for a different reason - 46.7%. These are very similar to his college shooting stats, though his FT is up a bit from 43% to 46.7%.

Only two baby Celtics in action tonight for the battling crustaceans. Waters had a good night in the Lobster victory.

Waters
37 minutes, 23 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals. He shot 9-16 and 2-6.

Langford
37 minutes, 11 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. 4-11 and 1-6. But he also had 6 turnovers.

Fall and Edwards collected splinters for the Celtics tonight.

Another game, another example of Waters crushing it. Not pretty from Langford though

Does anyone know why Edwards has gotten more NBA minutes than Waters?  He has an NBA body, but Waters seems like the better player by a large margin.

Because Waters is a two-way player and Edwards is on the roster. With Wanamaker not exactly lighting it up lately, I would like to see either of these guys get more time. While Waters looks fairly polished out there, he is not going to be eligible for the playoffs, so I would prefer that guy be Edwards. He was a monster in SL and pre-season and had a nice showing the other night. It sure would be nice to have a spark off the bench when needed down the stretch.

Worry not, though. If Waters continues to prove himself, he will likely be rewarded with an NBA contract this off-season (when he can sign for up to 4 years) and Wanamaker will be somewhere else.

Pretty awesome highlight video. He looks really comfortable dominating G-League opponents

Waters looks to be the one actual NBA player the Celtics picked up in this draft... Langford evokes comparisons to James Young in terms of his pre-draft hype vs his actual NBA readiness.  His agent deserves double.

Besides Grant, but you're probably not willing to admit you got that one wrong

i disagree on your point comparing langford to young. young was timid, overmatched, and lacked any skill aside from long range shooting...which was not a skil he had.

langford you should watch his brief highlights. he plays good defense, he is very very good at slashing to the basket (think: evan turner-esque), he is a decent to good ball handler as well.

langford lacks a reliable 3 point shot, but let's see what happens with that. it is way way way way too early to be making any sort of final judgement on langford. he has played a total of 110 minutes in the nba so far.

And the pinching-ways continue as Maine downs somebody we don't care about by a score of 110 to 103.

A pair of baby Celtics were in action:

Langford
33 minutes, 14 points, 1 rebound, 4 fouls...all on a very inefficient 4-12 and 1-3 three point shooting.

Waters
38 minutes, 21 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists on 8-18 and 2-6 shooting. Oh, and 2 steals.

P.S. Maine's record now is 20 wins and 7 defeats, two games out of first place in the standings....in case you cared.

The team were the losing lobsters yesterday. Sigh.

Here is the latest report on the Celtics-in-waiting.

Waters
35 minutes, 12 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, and 5 fouls. His shooting really did stink up the place as he went 4-17 and 0-9 from three point land.  :o

Fall
17minutes, 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 blocks. He was a very efficient 6-6 from the field, but a stinky 0-4 on FT.
