I always thought Terrence Williams was an intriguing talent, and still young.  Good size for a 2 guard (can also play some SF); he's 6'6, 220.

I remember being impressed with him on a couple of occasions. Once had a triple double in an actual NBA game.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I think he would be a very interesting pickup to groom for next year.  He isn't the type of player you can expect much quickly though, at least in the C's complicated system.

Wafer would definitely be an interesting target, since he (somewhat) knows the system.  McGrady also has the connections to Doc.

Here are some other names:

Ike Diogu
Eddie Curry
Quincy Douby
Gary Forbes (he could be a real possibility)
Lester Hudson
Solomon Jones
Randolph Morris
Jackson Vroman
DJ White
Yi Jianlian

Of that list I think Diogu is the best. He was killing it in the Olympics but never seems to get the chance to score in the NBA. With this new spread the ball offense I think he would get his touches and flourish.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Yeah, there're some interesting names in the Chinese league.  I could see Diogu being useful for us.  The couple of times I saw McGrady in Detroit, I thought he still looked pretty good, but he's like Delonte and is frequently injured.

Von Wafer is okay.  He can play a bit, but I still like Williams upside a lot more.  Not sure what PGs are over there.

It sounds like DJ White has played well.

Outside of China, one guy I'd like to see get a crack is Craig Smith. I always felt his play outlived his reputation / price point.

He could be a nice, reasonably priced back-up for on the Cs for a few years, I bet...

Wow, Yi's numbers are impressive.  That would certainly be an interesting pickup...although I wonder if he has any interest in coming back to the NBA.

I don't see why not. Doc mentioned looking for a four who could shoot the ball...

We have identified our first priority as a "ballhandling guard". I don't think Williams fits the bill.

Why can't Danny sign both and then get his ball handler?

Doc has been clear that they are looking for the best talent they can find.  This team needs depth right now, however they can get it.  A ballhandling guard who is not NBA quality is not as good as someone else who is a better player, and you can just shift Lee and Terry to play more PG if need be.

Also, Williams is a ball handling guard/forward.  He is at his best with the ball in his hands, creating for himself and others.  The fact that he isn't good at playing off the ball is one of the reasons he isn't in the NBA right now.
