It's sort of like Jeff Garcia / Dante Culpepper slumming around in the UFL.

Still, I'd like to see the D-League eventually function more like a true minor league.  Much like in baseball, that includes young prospects, as well as older, broken down vets hoping for another shot.

FYI, Toine was signed by the Idaho Stampede.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5863744

Wow.  For MJ to not even give his Friend even a shot at making the Bobcat team....That's pretty cold of him.   >:(

I mean it was MJ who "introduced" Toine to Gambling in the first place and Toine only followed MJ's Example.   Barkley was right(B-Ball Players are NOT Role Models).

I know MJ doesn't owe Toine anything but he couldn't at least give him the Chance to fail?   man…

Antoine has said himself that the reason he’s broke isn’t the gambling, it’s more of stupid business investments, and just handing out money to his huge crew. Yea he has a gambling problem, but the media has maid it sound like he just gambled away 110 million in black jack.

what do you mean he cant play the 3?  He can stand on the perimeter and chuck 3ptrs Rasheed Wallace style. He will fit in perfectly.

Right. Except Wallace could actually defend his position on the other end.

We should be calling him up and offering him to sign a veterans min deal for this year. With Delonte out indefinetly and Rondo hamstring isuues. Antoine could possibly backup Pierce with 12- 15 minutes at the 3 and slide Marquis over to the 2 to backup Ray.

This is a veteran team. Antoine is a veteran player. I dont believe he would any problem fitting in.

Wow.  And here we go once again with the Toine-Back-To-Boston thing.  Why not? :D

I’m pulling for ‘Toine so much.

That is AWESOME!!  AND EPIC!  :o

That video was very informative, straight from Toine's mouth to our ears on what the whole deal was.

I'd prefer someone who can actually shoot doing this.

He is a career 33% from deep. He can shoot just fine. Danny has had success with low risk high reward type players. As it stands right now we have many injuries

Jermaine- 3 weeks really? looks like the same injury he had in Miami last year.

Perkins- coming back soon but we've seen recently with knee injuries  Garnett,Powe, and Tony all needed more time to get back to how they played before.

Delonte- who knows? Hopefully before the playoffs.

Erden-going to need surgery on his shoulder. I dont think he will play all year.

Rondo- With a hamstring issue. Hopefully its nothing. Watching it though he looked like he was hurting vs the Raptors.

As it stands right now our depth is gone. If Shaq or KG goes down this thing is going to go south quickly. So I would give Walker a vet minimum deal for the rest of this year. Again we are talking about a former all-star who looks to be in good shape and is highly motivated.

I think he could backup Pierce just fine for 10 mpg but even if he cant play the three you could plug him in for Erden and get similar or better results. Ideally you want to give Avery and Luke playing time but counting on them for important backup rotation minutes will weaken the second unit.

Well, Shaq hadn't been out of the NBA for two years when we signed him.  Antoine has a lot to prove, in terms of his game and his health / conditioning.  If he plays well in the D-League, though, I think another shot in the NBA is justified.

If we signed Ehrden who would we drop? Hanongody? Ehrden? I'm not seeing this. Maybe Wafer in the future

You either send Luke to Portland or you cut Wafer. I would send Haragody to Portland where he can get some playing time.
