TP for the post.

"Long lost" is the truth. He doesn't get talked about much but I always think about Howell as kind of the originator of the archetype of the veteran who goes to a winning team after his prime but when he still has something to contribute.

The C's probably don't win those 2 rings with Russell as coach without Howell.

TP right back at you.

I started following the Celtics at roughly the same time they acquired Bailey Howell (in a trade for Mel Counts!). The Celtics do not win the 68 and 69 championships without him

It was a similar move to the acquisition of Paul Silas a generation later.
