I just realized that the Australian Open starts tonight. Any other tennis fans out there?

Good thing my work schedule doesn't have me going in early too much anymore, I'm going to be up late watching matches through the tournament.

I will be watching a lot of it....Played 4 or 5 times a week for 25 years (like in everything else fun in life, I was a late bloomer, lol ).
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift...

I am a tennis fan. I watch almost anybody playing in these major tournaments! :)

Last year at the Australian Open, I remember watching that Verdasco-Nadal match that lasted from my night-time until class started at 8 a.m. Or more!!

I never miss a grand slam. Hope Federer can win another one, though he's not in a great shape at the moment.

That was a great match. I wanted Verdasco to win.

First surprise - Sharapova lost in the first round to Kirilenko.

Dang the first of two good quarterfinals for the men has the air taken out of it. Roddick clearly is in pain and doesn't have his serve. I appreciate that he's playing through it, too many tennis players will retire after losing the first two sets like he has.

[dang] Roddick played a good match despite his injury, too bad that Nadal had to retire after some uninspired play too.
