Hi all - it's been a long time since I posted. Close to a decade, but I always lurk around the forum and hop onto the blog for quality Celtics content.
I've not checked much over the summer but happened to check in today.
From what I understand, the blog is gone? And this is a new forum migrated from the old one?
Apologies if this has been covered - if a mod could link me to that (I have looked) and lock this threat that'd be great.

I didn't have time to do the HOF so running it was turned over to Bahku and I haven't seen him on the blog for years. So it kinda died. My boxer dog avatar will be making a return though, once byennie has smoothed out that area of the new blog.

Have to say it's really awesome to check in and see some old names. I will try to be active during the season - I'm usually up until mid-morning watching games and averaging 4 hours sleep on game days, so why not.

I said it in the other thread, but avatars never really went away completely. You just have to make an image that's specific dimensions like 65x65 pixels and upload it to a service like imgur. Then in your forum settings just go to "specify avatar by URL" and put in the image link.

I don't think 65x65 is a hard rule. Someone else is using an avatar that is 57x80... so you can play around with it, but that's what I know works.

I think you can upload any photo regardless of dimensions now. At least it worked for me.
Decided to go for smashing good looks.
Edit: I just noticed that clicking on the avatar pic takes you directly to the user's profile. I don't think that was the case before.

Hey LB, I've been spreading the word about your avatar uploads ever since you first posted directions three years ago. I was surprised more people didn't follow suit as the steps were very easy to follow (once BJ mentioned the right click thing). Big TP for saving many of us from having boring, pictureless screens all these years!

Funny enough, I just lazily attempted to change my avatar on the site without doing the imgur thing and nothing happened. I'm happy with BR-Suffer pic for now, anyway, I guess - just wanted to see if it was as easy as all the new avatars seemed to indicate.
