Kind of in a pickle. Do I start Eli Manning or Kaepernick? Sorry if this is a no brainer, I'm not a huge football watcher.

As a former recovering Eli Manning owner, I'd say go with Kaep.

I'm in a deep 12 team PPR keeper league with 2 QB + 4 IDP + return yards, which explains the Cobb part of this query.

Last year was my first year and I played for next year snagging up gems, which worked almost too well, needing me to me keep 3 of these 4 guys:

Andrew Luck - 8th round
No choice here, the future is too bright.

Kaepernick - 10th round
Again, no choice, right?

CJ Spiller - 10th round
Last year in my league setup he compiled 228 points (28th overall) for me with 1244 yds on the ground, 459 in the air and a combined 8 TD's. Fred Jackson is there and that's fine but Spiller is supposedly going to be fed like crazy, I'm still weary, though.

Randall Cobb - 14th round
With return yds being a factor he compiled 251 points (16th overall) for me with 950 yds in the air, 1256 return yds and 9 combined TD's. I think Green Bay will be playing from behind a lot of the year and that means a lot of return yds. The bicep is an issue but everyone has an issue of some kind.

The question I need answered, will Spiller go for 2000 all purpose yds and 12 TD's to validate taking him over Cobb? Or am I being too short-sighted and because there are so many WR's available later in the draft I should pull the trigger on Spiller? Am I missing something? If so, any advice?

Thanks...

Move D'Angelo and Nicks

I shouldn't be squeamish about adding more to that to get a top ten RB? Or is Ivory going to surprise this year?

Consolidate to get another top flight rb. Ivory worries me since its the Jets offense. I suggest you hire IP to hype Ivoery for you and then trade him.  ;D

Had my second draft last night.

5th pick, 14 team league, .7 PPR: QB, RB, 2 R/W, 2 W/T, TE, D, K

5   Doug Martin, TB RB
24   Brandon Marshall, Chi WR
33   Jimmy Graham, NO TE
52   Eddie Lacy, GB RB
61   Jason Witten, Dal TE
80   Colin Kaepernick, SF QB
89   Sidney Rice, Sea WR
108   Mark Ingram, NO RB
117   Isaac Redman, Pit RB
136   Michael Floyd, Ari WR
145   DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR
164   Justin Tucker, Bal K
173   Bernard Pierce, Bal RB
192   Giants D/ST D/ST

Couldn't believe Martin dropped to 5 and I got Kaepernick at 80.  Graham at 33 was nice as well.  Not entirely sold on rest of team, but I think I should be fine.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

So I had my draft for my most expensive fantasy league ever last night, its non-ppr but QB's get 6 points for a passing TD.  There were several times I had a top tier QB lined up only to have him grabbed right infront of me, so I didnt reach and got Russel Wilson at 90

Its a 10 team Leage

QB: Russel Wilson
WR1: Andre Johnson
WR2: Dwayne Bowe
WR3: Eric Decker
RB1: Trent Richardson
RB2: Matt Forte
TE:  Jermichael Finley
DEF: NE
K:   Robbie Gould

Bench
RB: Darren Sproles
RB: Giovani Bernard
WR: Kenbrell Thompkins
WR: Mike Williams
QB Andy Dalton
TE: Jordan Cameron

Yahoo told me i am projected to finish in 8th place out of 10 but I think im better than that  :-[
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

I like the team, I think getting Graham in a PPR league is a real coup because of his value over other TE's.  I alsom think Martin and Marshall is a great top two pairing, especially in PPR, really really good.

I think you have to keep Spiller and Cobb. Spiller is a first round pick and Cobb is probably a 3rd round pick with PPR and return yards.  To get those guys in rounds 10/14 is major major value.  In a duel QB league Luck/Kaepernick are probably going in rounds 5/6 I'd assume?  I'd keep Kaepernick then try to find another QB.  I think that gives you the most value for your keepers.
do it

Where do you pick in the first round?  That would determine whom I'd let go.  If you are near the top then the easy choice is letting Spiller go and just taking him (if he is the best RB available).  If you are near the end, then I probably let Luck go as there is probably a decent chance he will be there at the end of the round (if you want him) and since he is the highest keeper letting him go makes the most sense.

12 team league, standard scoring.  I picked 6th.

QB: RGIII
RB1: Doug Martin
RB2: Matt Forte
WR1: Marques Colston
WR2: Greg Jennings
TE: Jimmy Graham
Flex: Lamar Miller
D/ST: Chicago
K: Matt Bryant (Atl)

Bench:
QB Jay Cutler
RB Ben Tate
RB Christine Michel
RB Joique Bell
WR Mike Williams
WR Aaron Dobson
TE Brent Celek

We have a huge RGIII fan who had to autodraft, so I'm going to try and flip him to her for Kaepernick and probably some kind of WR upgrade.

Martin falling to 6th seems like a pretty big coup.  I was ecstatic he was there for me at 5 in one of my leagues.  In a PPR I would love your team.  In a standard it is pretty solid, but not as good and your flex needs some help regardless.

I think RG3 if he can stay healthy will be a lot better than Kaepernick (of course that is a big if).  That said you need a lot of help at the flex spot so if the WR upgrade is good enough it is probably worth doing.

My last and big money league.  11th pick, full PPR, standard positioning

1. (11) Trent Richardson (Cle - RB)
2. (14) Alfred Morris (Was - RB)
3. (35) Victor Cruz (NYG - WR)
4. (38) Vincent Jackson (TB - WR)
5. (59) Torrey Smith (Bal - WR)
6. (62) Giovani Bernard (Cin - RB)
7. (83) Tony Romo (Dal - QB)
8. (86) Jermichael Finley (GB - TE)
9. (107) Kenbrell Thompkins (NE - WR)
10. (110) Isaac Redman (Pit - RB)
11. (131) DeAndre Hopkins (Hou - WR)
12. (134) Knowshon Moreno (Den - RB)
13. (155) Baltimore (Bal - DEF)
14. (158) Julius Thomas (Den - TE)
15. (179) Mike Nugent (Cin - K)

Pretty happy with the squad.  Love getting Romo at 83 and feel my starters and flex are solid with some nice flyers on the bench.

Martin was not only there, I took him over Rice.  Top 5 went AP-McCoy-Lynch-Rodgers-Foster.

Thanks for the tips - I'll take that into account when I'm shopping RGIII.
