Kyrie's Nike commercial with his Dad

Maybe I've missed it, but I haven't seen that commercial air in a long time. Not only is that a pretty cool commercial, which would make it odd to get pulled so quickly, but Nike had a prime opportunity to air the last 2 nights, on TNT and ESPN, with Kyrie actually playing.

If I'm right about it not airing, could that be purposely done in order to prevent backlash if/when he leaves?

Have there been Nike commercials running in its place? They wouldn't give up a spot just for this. But they might run a different campaign in its place.

I think it's an issue of relevance more than concern over direct backlash.  The commercial was great when the Celtics were primed for a Finals run.  Airing the commercial now makes zero marketing sense after the recent media events and team struggles.

Not to mention with each passing day, it's looking more and more likely that Kyrie will be elsewhere next season.

Commercials don’t run forever they get replaced with fresh ones. U less you’re Corona and don’t mind recycling
