Enes looked good with Portland last night..geez wish we gotten him

Who needs Kanter when you have Aaron "made of glass" Baynes?

Last night's loss was frustrating but still encouraging. Lot of guys shot poorly (Kyrie included), no Baynes and Hayward, and yet we lost by 1 on the road.

Yes, the loss hurts, no denying it and it also hurts us in terms of seeding (temporarily), but I think we're starting to show that we can absolutely give these teams a fight in the playoffs. MIL and TOR are the teams to beat and the key will be health. If we're healthy going into the playoffs we can truly beat anyone in the East.

The NBA's last 2 Minute Reports says the following:

-Irving should have been called for an illegal screen on Middleton
-Middleton fouled Morris
-Irving was fouled by Antetokounmpo on the last drive
-Irving was fouled by Bledsoe on the last drive
-Brook Lopez's shot after the jumpball was a tip and there should not have been a shot-clock violation
-Antetokounmpo traveled twice in the final 2 minutes and neither was called
-One led to the jumpball, one a foul

Looks like both sides had reason to complain. But I believe this transparency is a good thing.

Lol NBA officiating is such a joke. They literally missed 4 fouls on the final play, three of them disadvantaging Boston 🙄

Yeah, I don't know how three guys missed all four of those calls.

I guess that one could argue that since Irving's "foul" was the first in that series, Boston was fortunate to still have a chance to win ... but then, if Giannis is called for his travels, maybe Boston's leading in the final seconds instead of trailing.

Still not understanding what they're saying about the jump ball tip. The clock starts as soon as Giannis wins the tip and .2 seconds runs off before the ball gets anywhere near Lopez and then Lopez tip takes longer than .2 on top of that.

Either way the refs were poor down the stretch. No Gordy and no baynes I'll take a 1 point loss in Milwaukee with crap officiating. Come try that in the bean
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

We'd still need to win one away game at least in a playoff series against them.

Being 1 point losers to them at their home when they’re fully healthy and we are missing arguably our two most important reserves is a good first step though. We only seem to play the Bucks when we’re injured

It's sad enough that the entire officiating crew did not know the rules regarding the tipped ball and Lopez's shot.  And while a few missed calls are understandable, missing all of those important calls down the stretch is inexcusable.  If we were as bad at our jobs as NBA refs are at theirs, most of us would probably get fired.

The most infuriating of all is the NBA's refusal to blow the whistle against Giannis' illegal use of his off arm to ward off defenders on almost every single play and his blatant travels.  There was one play where he picked up his dribble, did a stutter step move, then took two additional steps after that to create a layup for himself - literally 4 steps - and was not called for a travel.

I'd like our best players to start cheating regularly like this.  Seems like if you make it a routine aspect of your game, the refs will eventually swallow their whistles for you - if you're a star.

Tommy having a rant about the free throw disparity and the bad ref calls

You're not going to the FT line if you keep shooting 3s.

That's just how the Celtics play.

If the Celts want to get to the FT line more, get a player who can score inside on a regular basis.

The Bucks shot as many threes as the Celtics did and we had people going to the rim this game they just didn’t get the calls.

The Celts are 29th in the league in FT attempts.

That stat tells us that it was not only in the Bucks game that the Celts didn't get to the FT line a lot.

All season long getting to the FT line has been a problem.

That's been the story of the NBA for many years now.

Michael Jordan pushing off on Bryon Russell in the 98 Finals was an offensive foul.

The NBA is a star driven league.
More stars means more chances of winning.

When was the last time an NBA team won a championship without having a single All-Star or star player?

I posted a video earlier the Mook one was so obvious it was ridiculous how they didn't call that

Tommy was saying that it's because refs are too scared to make a call that could determine who wins the game, so fouls they would call in the 1st quarter aren't called in the 4th. The good old "let the players decide". I'm ok with that if that's how they want to do it as long as it GOES BOTH WAYS. But it never does.

What I want to know is, are refs ever made accountable for their mistakes? Obviously everyone makes mistakes, it's part of being human...but I hope they're tracking all these and identifying refs that over a consistent period don't know what they are doing and either re-training them or keeping them out of games till they figure it out. Or is it just, oh well they made some mistakes, get over it, move on?
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Unfortunate no calls at that last possession but we’ve all seen worse (like Draymond greens back body drop of Marcus Smart).

That said, I wish Kyrie passed it to Horford who was wide open in the wing/corner. Tough to criticize him though since it was a broken play. One shot was the difference in the game. If Giannis’ “block” was correctly called a foul or Lopez didn’t bank in a 3, this game would’ve been completely different down the stretch

Refs blew the tip call in our favor. It all evens out.
