As the Rockets look to clear room for free-agent pursuit of LaMarcus Aldridge or Kevin Love, No. 18 pick is available, sources say.

We have a ton of 2016 picks, including 3 1st rd picks. This could be a good option to explore. Especially if WCS is available at #18, if not we could go with Hollis-Jefferson.

I looked at their roster and I'm not sure who they could move to clear major cap space. Their only big contracts are Howard, Ariza and Harden. We could pick up Papanikalau but he can be waived anyway. Dorsey, Johnson and Jones would only save them around $4.5 MM
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Too many rookies. James Young will essentially be entering his rookie season this year.

If Danny likes the value they're asking for, sure, pull the trigger. But package with 16 to move up or move out at least.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

I have no interest in the 18th pick, but if HOU wants to clear cap space i guess we can take Clint Capela off their hands  ;D

I read it as they're trading the 18th pick because they don't want to take up the cap space. Instead, they take a 2016 1st rd pick (for example) in exchange.

We could take their 2015 pick, especially if we use 16, 28, 33 to trade up.

The Dallas pick straight up might make sense for both sides depending on the players still there at 18.

This is why it was suggested that we'd need to give up #16 to dump the Wallace contract.

If C's could get WCS and Anderson without moving into top 10 ......

That would be a real haul ......

That's what I'm thinking. We can take WCS, who is rumored to be slipping, and whatever we get from our move up.

Top 10 pick- ? (best SF available)
#18 WCS
#45 Upshaw (based solely on upside)

Danny should try to grab it and then flip it in a deal with 16.

If they were willing to do it for the Mavs picks Id love to  either package 16 and 18 or take RHJ/Anderson here.

This draft is believed to be multi-tiered: 1-4or5, 4or5-11or12, and 12-20or22. If we can get 18 in exchange for a nonBroolklyn 2016 pick, we can get decent prospects at both 16 and 18 if we are unable to move up, say Portis and Anderson for example. We can also goose our 28 using 33 and 45 to possibly get to 20 or so and add a third prospect. Of course, the real prize would be to use 16, 18, and 28 to get into the top 10. Even with injury concerns, I don't think that WCS gets past Larry at 11.
