Durant to Boston is plausible.

Durant leaving GSW would be deplorable.

I also think his legacy would've been ruined if he left to join another contender.

I think it would be a good step for Durant. One or two years to the Celtics to win title(s) with Irving and Davis. Then the next step is joining the Bucks to win a title alongside Giannis and when Dallas is ready he goes there to win a title together with Doncic and Porzingis.

The journeyman ring-chaser who collects Finals MVP’s everywhere he goes.

Would be a unique career, that’s for sure.

But, with Kyrie being the quirky character that he is, would it be all that surprising if he duped Danny? I truly believe DA has an excellent pulse on his team, but if anyone could pull a fast one on him, Kyrie would be on the short list of guys capable.

And NOTHING should be put past KD.

I'm definitely not saying it's impossible. If NYK is able to trade for Davis then I think they're a legit shot to get one of the two guys (KD and KI). I just think that Kyrie will stay, as that's been his stated intention on numerous occasions.

I wonder if Kyrie ever goes out to dinner with any of his own teammates?

On this site, he's dammed if he did... and dammed if he didn't.

Durant and Irving are really good friends. I could see them wanting to play together.

But I also don't think Kyrie is willing to leave the Celtics to make that happen. He's made it clear multiple times that he wants to resign and stay long-term, but he is tired of the questions.

That's why I think Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant will be Celtics next year, with Kyrie, Smart, Horford, Williams, Baynes, Ojeleye, Rozier, rookies, and MLE/vetmin role players (Morris?).

I think those personalities would work really well together (other than perhaps Rozier who may want a starting job). If that happened, I think the Warriors and the Pelicans would quickly become my 2nd and 3rd favorite teams.

Hey Durant, after we trade for Davis just sign with us for the mid level exception. Lol imagine if that ever happened.  What a killer team we would have.

Durant to Boston is plausible.

No it's not. Ainge isn't shipping Hayward or Horford away, period.

That’s not a road block.

Also, to the fella who said “Durant leaving GSW would be deplorable”... you made me audibly chuckle.

Yeah, I like it when forum posters make a black-and-white statement and then say, "Period," as if that settles it by the sheer force of their confidence.

I can't see Ainge trading Hayward as salary filler for Davis, where Hayward would live out the rest of his contract on a bad lottery team playing in front of 5,000 fans at home each game. But I could see Hayward being traded to the Warriors, where he would be given the opportunity to thrive next to Curry, Thompson, and Green. In fact, that's about the only situation that I think Ainge, CBS, and Hayward would be ok with.
