Jaylen having a good game , gets 19 minutes and none in the 4th?

Hayward off the bench, complete garbage IMO, 32 minutes.

Other than the Kyrie benching, this is what stood out the most to me. Hayward should not have been out there in crunch time. He has zero confidence in finding his own shot right now.

Brad killed the team tonight pulling kyrie when he was hot and only playing Jaylen 19minutes when he has been aggressive and having a good game.

Hayward clearly was having a rough game and yet brad leaves him in.

I wonder whether he felt obligated to play Hayward more since this was his first game off the bench.

He made a great decision to sub Baynes out and put Smart in early in the 3rd quarter, but his decisions thereafter were just terrible.  Our 4th quarter struggles were largely of his doing.  Awful rotations and in-game decision making.

I wish he'd stop micromanaging minutes.  Our team is young.  A few extra minutes in some games here and there isn't going to hurt them.

The micromanaging kills me (and us)

9 of 32 from 3. Walker scores 43 and was +17.

At some point the team needs to stop shooting 3's and actually defend the opposing point guard
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Too bad Red Auerbach still isn't around. He'd straighten things out in a jiffy. If you've seen those dynasty Celtic teams, you know what the transition game, ball distribution and easy shots are all about.

In post game interview CBS states he went with several end of the bench players because he was looking for energy. Is that code for starters were not playing hard??

It’s not code, it’s as explicit as this coach gets.

Brad is not confused. He’s trying to find something that works.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021
