https://theathletic.com/911020/2019/04/07/bradley-beal-on-super-max-possibilities-i-already-have-one-max-contract-money-is-not-the-problem/

Bradley Beal could become supermax eligible this offseason if he is an All-NBA selection, but that may not secure his future with the Washington Wizards.

“My biggest concern, just like I tell everybody else, is just making sure that we’re going in the right direction. It’s easy to secure money. Money is not the problem,” Beal said. “I already have one max contract, and I can live off that and be cool. So, money is not the problem.”

The Wizards are between general managers after firing Ernie Grunfeld, which adds to the uncertainty of the situation.

“It’s, what are we gonna do here moving forward?” he said. “It starts with getting a new GM and building up our team this summer. I’ll definitely give it a lot of thought. It’s not an easy decision. It’s not a simple one, either. So, (it’s a) game of chess this summer.”

Beal told The Athletic at the end of March that he has “no idea” whether he would accept a super-max offer if the Wizards were to extend it to him.

“I try not to (think about it),” he said. “I’m not gonna be naïve to it. I know about it. But … I haven’t even gotten that far, because I need to figure out what we’re gonna do in this offseason, where we’re going, which direction we’re going.”

Ted Leonsis has told Beal he wants him to remain involved in the team’s offseason plans.

Then winning is the problem.

And you will maximize your winning opportunities in Boston in a team-friendly deal since money isn't the problem for you. Is there a way for Danny Ainge to acquire both Anthony Davis and Bradley Beal this summer? Make it happen.

Goodness. Imagine that.

It would be like acquiring KG and Ray at age 25 instead of 30 if we got them both. My lord.

Don't think it is likely at all, but I would not complain one bit

Beal still has 2 years left on his existing contract so he's not going anywhere.  Beal isn't a supermax player and even if he were the Wizards would be stupid to offer him it now.  The risk would be all on their side.

Haha that would be crazy, and I’m not putting anything past Danny Ainge.  He dreams big!

Beal is definitely on my radar. He's always been talented, but he's actually been showing that he can stay healthy too.

I don't think Beal/Kyrie would be a great fit.

I think the Wizards should probably look to trade him, but their ownership's past behavior makes me think they will not until they absolutely have to.

I think it's safe to say Durant won't be a Celtic.

No, but if Kyrie left, I definitely think a Smart/Beal backcourt would be very good.

I'm not sure. I think Kyrie is better, particularly in terms of passing and scoring efficiency, but Beal has been super healthy over the last 2 seasons (would be back-to-back 82 game seasons for him if he plays us).

They're also just about a year apart, yet Kyrie has much more big-stage experience. I'd be happy with either, lol.
