Bucher, making up news based upon an educated guess?

Sounds about right.

Yeah, this was also the guy pushing the "Kyrie wants to reunite with Lebron" narrative. He's a Bleacher Report hack.

Unfortunately, nothing would surprise me :(

Remaining optimistic however.

Kinda stinks that Kyrie is leaving only because we likely won’t have a legitimate shot at a title next year.

Oh well.
Did I miss some announcement or?

No—I’m just guessing and am in the acceptance stage of the Kubler Ross grieving model

Yeah, Bill Simmons also said recently he would "bet the house" that KD is going to the Knicks.

I have no idea where Bucher and Simmons are getting this information from, but this all seems very suspicious.

The fact that Simmons thinks it's true means it probably isn't.

I love his Boston homerism and enthusiasm for the game, but man his takes are often really, really wrong.

Bleacher Report is the worst.

They recently ran a piece on "realistic trade options" for AD - they had Boston sending Tatum, Brown, Smart, RWIII, and the Sacto pick. As icing on that turdcake, they suggested resigning TRIII and starting him at the 2.

Bucher also said Kobe was 100% leaving the Lakers in 2007
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I believe him. I think KD is heading to NY, like I thought Lebron was heading to LA. In retrospect, none of this will be a shock.

Irving will be gone too. People will be sad, many will overreact, but Danny will still put out a competitive product.

While I doubt Kemba rejects top $ to stay in Charlotte, I'm still hoping.

Considering it’s coming from Bucher it’s essentially worthless.

I don’t think Kyrie has made his mind up yet. Likely dependent on our playoff performance

"It's not a matter of not liking or appreciating what he has," Bucher told Cowherd. "Kevin Durant has never been fully been embraced by the Warriors faithful. And has never, even from a national perspective, has been given the just due that you would expect for a guy who has been the NBA Finals MVP of their last two championships. It's still Steph's team.

What exactly did Durant expect when he left to go to Golden State? He went & joined a team coming off a Finals appearance that already have established stars.  Did he think he was just going to waltz in there and be recognized as the guy?  He was a gunner coming in and not "homegrown".

And from a national perspective, he took the perceived shortcut.  That tends to rub people the wrong way.

He damaged his own image by his actions.

Bullseye. He made his bed.

Amazing how the majority of sports news and political news are both living in the land of make believe. I miss the days where real news reporters actually had real scoops and not fantasy. When did National Enquirer unsupported fake news become the new norm?

I wish Durant and this news story all the best. I am sure he will miraculously turn the Knicks into a well run organization that wins titles. How many have they won in the past 50 years?

I pretty much take anything any of these guys says with a huge grain of salt.

But it wouldn't shock me if KD and Kyrie teamed up, but really none of the offseason rumors would shock me if they come true.

Looks like we're setting up for another eventful offseason.

The thing about Simmons is that he's careful to differentiate his opinions from facts. It's something other journos need to do, particularly in this age of opinion-based reporting and programming.

I’ve long thought KD would go to the Knicks, and Kawhi goes to the Clippers. I think Kemba comes to NY to be the second star between KD and the top-5 pick.

Now that Durant left, Klay leaves GSW as well. He could go to the Clippers with Kawhi.

Kyrie stays here, and we push all-in for Davis.

Lakers use their cap space on someone like Jimmy Butler.
