These are the players....and why they'll never make it and need to be replaced...IMHO!

RWilliams: just can't stay healthy...too bad, cause he's got some potential
Wannamaker: there's a reason he played overseas for the last several years
VPoirier: just not very skilled
Semi: why is he even on an NBA roster, nevermind ours!
Tacko: fun craze, but his ceiling is Boban
Romeo: see RW
Tremont: really like the little guy, and MIGHT be worth keeping around for awhile
JGreen: good for the highlite reel, not much else
CEdwards: turned loose on the right team he will succeed, but not with the too restrictive Celtics! Great shooter who's afraid to shoot!  A shame!

Our huge lack of talent on our bench is KILLING US!  Plenty of good talent languishing on benches around the league!  DA needs to get busy and rebuild our bench, or this team is going nowhere come playoff time!

Yep, let's replace our two youngest draft picks, RWIII and Langford. That totally makes sense. This feels like analysis from a person who's only watched two of our games.

We are still rebuilding if you haven't noticed.

Jeez, because a second round playoff team last year and a team on pace for mid 50s wins is "rebuilding?"

You want to see rebuilding go take a look at the Wizards or Detroit!

I wholeheartedly agree with this post. Our bench really needs an upgrade.

I'm tired of holding on to picks.

I'm tired of watching Stevens praise every team in the league and then make no real adjustments. I don't know how you lose to the Pistons at home by 13 points. SMH

We're the youngest team in the NBA.

Look it up. Seriously.

Give them time to develop.

Fine, hold on to RW and Romeo.....in the G League, but get some REAL HELP for our bench.  We need 2/3 vets, who are used to limited playing time, but really can contribute in their time on the court!
Holding on to marginal young players who MIGHT be rotational players two or three years from now is insane.

By the way, I forgot GWilliams in my OP.  Smart player, with great BBIQ who'll never be more than maybe an 8-9 guy in the league, ONLY due to his size!  If he were 3/4 inches taller we'd have a real gem.

And, BTW, I've been a C's fan since 1957, have League Pass, and haven't missed a game this year!

Tatum and Brown were 22 and 21 at the start of the season its not insane.

How much are you willing to sacrifice for a player who will chip in between 10 to 18 minutes per game is the question. Shipping out your future picks and younger players for that sort of minutes allocation is not a simple decision.

The question is do we want to give it time .
We are not contenders but I think we can be with a few moves.
I’m ok either way.
As the the OP, I do think we can consolidate 2-3 guys that are currently not used.
I LOVE Tremont lots of upside imo.

Smart hasn’t played well on the most part over the last couple weeks. The last couple of games he’s gotten 3 Ts on bone headed arguments. Almost cost us the Atlanta game if they called a T on the step over.

I love what he brings on D but unfortunately his contract can get us a couple good bench guys.

Here is my question to you.

Are we not contenders because of the role players who play between 10 to 20 MPG (less in the playoffs) or because of our top 5 guys playing 30+ MPG?

Because if its the first sure ship of a young guy and some picks for a Jordan Clarkson type. If its the second, you need to either make a bigger move or be ready to build around the Js when they are good enough via development.

Imo, only dead wood in the 15-man roster is Poirier.

Not a fan of Edwards either, but that's just me. If I were Danny I would trade him. But then again, if I were Danny I wouldn't have drafted him in the first place.

Can't you do the same for just about every team's back half of the roster?

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class
