The trip-dubs are great, but they're sort of a red herring in terms of evaluating Rondo for anything other than his ability to have a really good game once in a while. Which is a worthy consideration. But it's not everything.
That said, Rondo played very well last night, particularly in the 1st and 4th quarter. Whether or not Rondo is playing well pretty much determines the kind of start and finish that this team has. Luckily we now have a clicking bench unit to make up for the slow starts. But it would be great if Rondo could get into a habit of starting games well more often than not.
