I can attest that many of my posts have been edited or deleted.  The NCE distinction has completely banned many of us from contributing on many important topics simply because our world view may not resonate in the party line echo chamber.  An ignore button could be utilized by the offended individuals and allow the continuation of an important dialogue.

Re editing and deleting: Political posts or Bball related posts? Or both?
Was what you posted inflammatory or derogatory?

I don’t recall specifics, but if a post gets deleted or edited, it’s because it breaks our rules.  Same with the NCE designation.

“Important dialogue” doesn’t require a lack of civility.  Greenback is bringing up a really good reason *not* to have an ignore button, as he’s predicting an escalation of conflict should the option be installed.

Wear the NCE label proudly. Never been kicked out of any forum anywhere else and I go back to Usenet and portals and been involved in politics for over 50 years. Even Saltlover got ejected of all people.
Saltlover left of his own accord.

You'll also note that there are many differing viewpoints on show in the CE threads. There are liberals, conservatives, socialists, libertarians, and anything in between. People get banned from the CE threads either because they ask to so they don't have to see them, or because they've broken the rules.

After many years on the internet, I've learned to just skip over things that I think are trash or not worth responding to. My brain just switches on its ignore mode on its own
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
