Andrew Wiggins was booed at home during the Minnesota Timberwolves' 123-120 overtime loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

Wiggins missed a potentially game-tying free throw with 4.5 seconds left in overtime, sparking the crowd reaction. Shooting 75% from the free-throw line on the season, he was 5-12 from the charity stripe for the game.

Following the loss, Wiggins addressed the boos by saying "that’s fans for you. We’ve got some (expletive) fans and we’ve got some good fans. That’s just how it works.”

He's not a winning player. His game relies on taking contested long 2's and he plays with little energy. There are also rumors that he doesn't really care about losing, he's happy as long as he gets his numbers.

Not smart. He should have at least acknowledged that he let the fans and the team down for missing free throws.

Instead he calls many of his team's fans an expletive

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Typical Wiggins, goes .42% from FT and a very crucial one in overtime and blames the fans.. I mean what did he expect he was gonna get in return? Cheers?
What a delusional player, so glad he is Timberwolves problem and not ours.
"I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies and hypotheses
Can't define how I be dropping these mockeries."

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

For all our "big concerns" like Hayward coming back slower than expected, Brown's slump, etc...you just need to look around the league at stuff like this and any number of a dozen other train wrecks to appreciate how good we have it.

Very true!

Sure things are not going 100%as planted but judging from the rest of the league things could have gone very very easy much worse

Yeah, at least our guys have the right attitude. Ainge and Stevens have an emphasis on getting guys who have a good head on their shoulders and don't compromise that for talent, like taking risks with guys like Cousins who can disrupt team chemistry.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Remember when the owner question his commitment to being great before extending him a contract? Talk about a red flag.

They should've traded him before other teams realized what was going on with him.

He seems to be in the same vein as Jeff Green, god gifted player who's coasted off natural talent through life.

If he was in Boston he would have been run out of town a long time ago.

I am with Wiggins. Booing a guy for missing a FT at the end of the game is pathetic.

I've been saying it before that Wolves fans are down on Wiggins, yet some posters here kept on saying that he is a good prospect and deserving of that contract.

Yup. I think being from a region of champions made people entitled.

Doesn't seem like Wiggins lived up to the draft hype.
