Godzilla vs. Kong.

If you think you might like this...  you will LOVE it.  The fight scenes are epic.  I can’t even imagine what this would look like in IMAX.
I did see it in our IMAX, and it was preposterous (in a fun way).

Awesome!  I like these even when they're bad, so I'm thinking I'll love it if it's good.

I've been pecking away at the 4 hour Justice League movie.  Pretty decent.
Yup

Yeah, I watched on HBO Max, but I’m going to go watch it again in the theater just for the spectacle.  Sadly, no IMAX within 2 hours.

Definitely been meaning to give that Justice League movie a look.

And yeah, it's exactly what you want really. Huge monsters duking it out and a funny kid from New Zealand

Chewing over the prospect of watching a Rian Johnson. Should I go with Knives Out, or Looper?

I saw Knives Out at the Embassy Cinema and it was good. The concession worker told me that a lot of it was filmed in Waltham, MA too. Kind of neat.

Not a movie, but Mare of Easttown on HBO is excellent.  Kate Winslet shines in this dark murder investigation series in Pennsylvania. Highly recommend it. Final episode is tonight. Can't wait!

I like this one, too.  Kind of bummed there’s only one season.

Knives Out is great! Daniel Craig's Louisianan accent is hilarious.

"The Highwaymen" on Netflix.

Film about the Texas Rangers who were brought in to hunt down Bonnie & Clyde when the FBI was failing.
Costner and Harrelson. Fairly accurate historically and a fascinating story.

Was able to cross three classics off my “movies I’ve somehow never seen” list this past week...Heat, Monster, and Cape Fear.

Heat. 8.2/10. One of the best heist movies I’ve ever seen. It’s a 3 hour film, with what seems like very little filler. Every little thing seems to lead somewhere. Al Pacinos acting is a bit over the top, but it’s always great to see he and De Niro share the screen together.

Monster. 8.6/10. Charlize Theron delivers probably the best female performance of the last 20 years playing a deranged, charismatic serial killer. My only gripe with this movie was Christina Riccis character. Charlize Theron kills like 7 people and somehow Ricci is the harder one to like.

Cape Fear. 7.9/10. Another long one, but a worthwhile watch. De Niro plays one of the creepiest characters ever put on film. Nick Nolte and Jessica Lange were absolutely phenomenal. A good movie, but I don’t see it having much rewatchable appeal due to the numerous sadistic scenes and just how stressful the whole movie is.

Next on my list is Red Dragon, the prequel to Silence Of The Lambs.

Uh, Red Dragon makes Cape Fear look like a fairy tale.

The original Space Jam.  I watched it after watching the putrid Lebron version.  There’s no comparison.  The original is legitimately entertaining.

All the "it's a kids movie!" defences of the new one make me laugh. Nothing stops kids movies from being good films. 'Ratatouille' and 'The Incredibles' are both awesome fun. The original 'Space Jam' is fun. The new one is garbage
