How is Jokic not the first team!?

He won the MVP last year and might win his 2nd now.

How can you not have the MVP on that team!

Because he's behind Dirk as it's "All-Time".  I don't think that's very controversial at their respective points in their careers.

Actually, it's a bit of a weird list since they don't go on position, so I edit my comment slightly.  But I wouldn't put him above Dirk all the same.

Before anybody criticize this too much, looks like it was voted by fans.

That being said, Petrovic and Sabonis probably don't belong if this is supposed to be reflective of NBA careers, just too short.

More than enough talent to put a 3rd team out there:

Marc Gasol
Rudy Gobert
Vlade Divac
Detlef Schrempf
Rik Smits
Andrei Kirilenko
Nikola Vucevic
Kristaps Porziņgis

All NBA-All-Stars.  Plus a ton of other quality players (Radja, Rubio, Gallinari, Turkoglu, Marciulionis, etc.).

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Jokic vs. Gasol is interesting.  Clearly Jokic has had a higher peak, but he is still so early in his career, I do think Pau is probably the correct choice at this point.  Another year or two though and Jokic will pass him up.

Based on NBA career, Petrovic and Sabonis don't feel like 2nd Team players to me at all.  Even Kukoc is a bit of stretch.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip
