BOS In: Wiseman
BOS Out: Nesmith, Langford, 2022 1st, 2022 2nd, 2023 2nd

Comments: Bit of a discount on Wiseman given the uncertainty of his health moving forward. Wiseman does not make sense with Embiid, but definitely has value and Philly would love to stockpile some picks to attempt to save face on moving Simmons.

PHI In: Wiggins, Nesmith, Langford, BOS ‘22 1st, GSW ‘22 1st, GSW ‘23 Swap, GSW ‘25 1st, BOS ‘22 2nd, BOS ‘23 2nd
PHI Out: Simmons, Curry

Comments: Philly saves face with a borderline all-star in Wiggins and a haul of picks. Also buys some goodwill by helping unite the Curry brothers.

GSW In: Simmons, Curry
GSW Out: Wiggins, Wiseman, GSW ‘22 1st, GSW ‘23 Swap, GSW ‘25 1st

Comment: Can you imagine a Curry/Curry/Thompson/Green/Simmons lineup? With all those young guns learning the ropes off the bench? Can you imagine how good they’d be defensively with Green/Simmons? Can you imagine the marketing of their back-court? A real brother as one of the Splash Bros.?

It works in NBA Trade Machine, BTW.

At this point, a pick haul and Wiggins is probably the best they can hope for. Sending Wiseman our way makes sense considering he does not complement Embiid.

Would all 3 teams do it? Would you?

Here would be our 2021-2022 roster, with room to bring in a veteran PG/SG:

Schröder/Pritchard
Smart/Richardson
Brown/Hernangómez
Tatum/Horford/Parker/Williams
Wiseman/Timelord/Kanter/Fernando

Bit heavy in the front-court, so we’d want to see about moving Fernando or Kanter later in the year for back-court depth.

Wonder if Wiseman or Timelord could one day switch to the 4, leaving us with the following heading into the 2022 offseason (assuming we re-sign Horford after declining his final contract year):

Smart/Pritchard
Brown/Richardson
Tatum/Hernangómez
Wiseman
Timelord/Horford

I don't see Philly as so interested in Nesmith and Langford.  I think they would rather have Schroder (who I know can't be traded for a bit).  Philly is win now.  They don't want prospects.

I think this is the right idea though.  GSW would want Simmons and likely willing to give up Wiggins and Wiseman.  That part works.  You just need to find a team that would want Wiseman or some other GSW prospects and has an established vet that Philly likes and can use in the core rotation right away.

Was wondering when a wild, unrealistic and unbalanced Greenly trade thread would make an appearance.

well this one is at least a little better than the normal Greenly trade, we don't give up Jaylen Brown.
Yeah, he is making progress!

I don't see why Philly would want to do that trade at all.  And frankly, Wiggins has a negative value right now since he can't even play half of GS' games at the moment.  The Warriors are going to have to give up a lot to move on from him until he gets vaccinated.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

best landing spot for Simmons is GSW.

I agree. Like Simmons in Philly, Wiggins is damaged goods in the town he plays in, in his case because of his vaccine resistance (unlike Simmons, at least he acquiesced). A fresh start for both of them probably makes both Philly and GSW better. Really hard to see a better situation for Simmons or a better deal for Philly or a better deal for GSW.

Two of the three firsts are already sunk costs and not exactly panning out, although there is still some hope.

If we could keep Horford here the next 2-3 years and he taps into his inner Tom Brady, he’ll be solid depth off the bench with a front court of Tatum, Wiseman and Timelord. That’s a solid foursome.

Are they fully sunk costs? Are we say neismith is a sunk cost? At 21?
