I just wish there was somebody who played with Larry and Magic.  Free agency was wonky back then, but if I were a role player I would have wanted to play with those guys just to tell my kids.

Wow.  You could put together a decent team around him.

-Magic
-Bird
-McHale
-Parish
-Malone
-Stockton
-Moncrief
-Cummings
-Robertson
-Kidd
-Gervin

Wow.  This guy is my new hero.  Except for the Jason Kidd part, that is.

He also had one hell of a kids show on PBS.

Corie Blount was on that team (Magic, Jones, Divac, Van Exel), he was also on the 95 Bulls (MJ, Pip, Kukoc), 99 Cavs (Kemp, Big Z), the 01 Suns (Kidd, Penny, Marion), the 01 Warriors (Mullin, Antawn), the 02 Sixers (AI, Dikembe), and the 04 Raptors (Vince, Bosh)

But that is why I don't like using role players.  They tend to move around more and end up on the bench on teams with all time great players.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Sedale Threatt would be an interesting one. Started out on those 80s Sixers teams with Moses, Dr J, Barkley, Bobby Jones, Andrew Toney, Mo Cheeks.

Played in Seattle next to Dale Ellis, Tom Chambers, Xavier McDaniel, Nate McMillan and later Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Eddie Johnson and Ricky Pierce.

Oh and Threatt had a spell in Chicago in between that so you got Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Charles Oakley, Horace Grant & Artis Gilmore.

After Seattle, Threatt played for the Lakers next to James Worthy, Byron Scott, Sam Perkins, Vlade Divac, Elden Campbell and later on Magic Johnson, Eddie Jones, Cedric Ceballos and Nick Van Exel.

Then finished out his career on those old man Rockets teams next to Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley (again), Clyde Drexler, Kevin Willis, Eddie Johnson (again) and Mario Elie.

G - Payton, Mo Cheeks, Van Exel
G - Jordan, Drexler, Toney
F - Doctor J, Pippen, Worthy
F - Barkley, Kemp, Bobby Jones or Tom Chambers
C - Hakeem, Moses, Artis Gilmore

Another obscure player: Flynn Robinson (he actually averaged 20 ppg for multiple seasons - who knew)

67 Royals - Oscar, Jerry Lucas, Happy Hairston, Bob Love
68 Bucks - Embry
69 Bucks - Kareem, Dandridge
71 Royals - Tiny
72 Lakers - Wilt, West, Baylor, Goodrich (Hairston again)
73 Bullets - Hayes, Unseld

So put it together

PG - Oscar, Tiny
SG - West, Goodrich
SF - Baylor, Dandridge, Hairston
PF - Hayes, Lucas, Love
C - Wilt, Kareem, Unseld, Embry

I'd say that team would give any a run for its money just given how much Flynn moved around.
