Tristan ....  mr going out ... who cares about regular season

vs

Kanter .... teams big brother

I wonder if Brad didn't really want to lose Kanter, but Danny chose Thompson instead

It looks like it's for a portion of the MLE, so I don't mind it. Use the rest for a backup PG, and use TT to trade for a starting PF and I think we're in good shape.
I'm bitter.

For real? Interesting. I guess this means the TT deal is really still happening.

Kanter must love bouncing around from coast to coast in the U.S.

On a slightly related note, his name keeps auto-correcting to ‘lantern’ and it is really annoying!

Maybe that can be his new nickname.  The green lantern. Lol

Yes! TP to the OP for this news. Love Kanter.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

It’s genuinely strange seeing PBS seemingly press ctrl+z on a bunch of Ainge moves.

Kanter to me is more of a locker presence piece (though his ability to battle guys like Embiid helps)

Last season there was instability

this season you have Horford, Kanter,  Richardson

This organization may just be...bad?
Tells us maybe that Brad and Ainge didn't quite see eye to eye and ownership picked Brad.

Yeah... that doesn't paint our brain trust in the best light at all.

Honestly to me it seems that Brad and Danny were not on the same page as they made it seem.  So they move Kanter and the Bane pick only to resign Kanter a year later.  What a joke.  Now I'm starting to get ticked.

We dumped Barnes to clear money for Kemba, not Kanter. Then we dumped Kanter to get the full MLE, which we wasted on TT (that part sucks). We're getting a pick and players for TT, though, so that's hardly a dump, and then signing Kanter for way less than any of the other contracts listed there.

It's not a great look, but it's not as bad as Dangercart is trying to make it seem
I'm bitter.

We definitely didn’t have anyone that could battle Embiid or similar sized players. Although “battle” might be too strong of a word. At least his offensive skills will make them work at the other end.

We need someone that can be used situationally like that. Harry Giles or some other recovery projects weren’t going to do that.

Yup. This is just bad management. Give up a pick to dumb a guy to sign someone else only to dump that guy a year later and sign back the initial guy.
